My U.S. 2-slot 25" cab was $425 at an auction, you should be able to find a 4-slot in good condition at around that level or maybe even a bit less. Sit-down candy cabs may be even a bit cheaper, and some of those have larger monitors (29"). Personally, I like stand up cabs better.

I got my 4-Slot for $450 on e-bay, but watch out for the shipping it can be a bitch.

Damn, that's cheap! I was thinking it would have been alot higher. So which would you guys recommend, the US MVS CAB or the CANDY CAB? What are the pros and cons of each?
Thanks again! :D

Candy cabs are cheaper, around $300 before shipping, but they are not for everyone. I have both a candy and stand up arcade machines. I love the candy, it is small, has a huge screen, it says SNK all over it, it is metal instead of wood... it has wheels, you can sit down and play games... it is a great cab.

Some draw backs, player one and two are to close to each other and you are constantly bumping hands during fighting games (can throw of a combo). The sit down style does not remind me of my youth standing at cades playing games, so some of the nistolgia is lost. The coin mech was for yen... not that I really care, but the other cades make nice piggy banks for laundry money! The sound is tiny and not as full as the bigger cab (I am spoiled, I have a bose system in the stand up Neo).

So really a candy is good if you have limited space and don't mind sitting at the machine to play games. It is cheaper, much lighter, much easier to move (this is a big thing for me, I have three and moving is a bitch). And looks pretty cool.

Are there any online stores that specialize in selling/shipping Arcade Cabs, other than ebay? The only NEO Cab auctions I can find on ebay said that the winning bidder had to come pick up the unit within 2 weeks of the close of auction and their either located in California or South Carolina and I'm here in West Virginia.

Avoid Ebay auctions if possible, the shipping for a cab to your house will kill you. I got my cab at an auction in Pennsauken, NJ, went with a friend and we hauled it back in his pickup truck. Thus, no shipping cost, and you can look at the cab before you bid on it. Here are some auction sites:

<a href="http://www.usamusement.com/" target="_blank">http://www.usamusement.com/</a>

Auctions are definitely the best way to go, you can avoid shipping charges if you bring a pickup truck and haul your cab back with you. And some of the smaller screened cabs (19") sell for next to nothing, like $50 or so sometimes!! :)

Not sure about New Orleans Shapermc, but what major cities (besides NO) are within 150 miles of you? BTW 150 miles is a good max, when I've gone to the auctions in Pennsauken NJ, its about a 3 hour drive which is a good maximum distance.

Here's a pretty cool link I found when looking for info for you:

<a href="http://www.gamesurge.com/arcade/pinball_faqs/rec_games_pinball_1.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.gamesurge.com/arcade/pinball_faqs/rec_games_pinball_1.shtml</a>

A FAQ on buying stuff from auctions, some very useful info. There are some other auction site links there as well, besides the two I gave in my previous post. Hope this helps . . . :)

I would go with an auction if you live near or in a big city. Otherwise ebay may be your best friend. Normally if you e-mail sellers and make them offers you can get a cab for next to nothing. Of course shipping is where the problem arises and what makes getting cabs a real pain n the ass. I saw this site where one guy got a Cab for $15 because it was broken. It turns out something was loose. He tighten it and it worked. So I would defintely go with auctions first.
