I was wondering, most of you guys have a collection of games.
I don't know but it just came to my mind, when will you stop buying games and finally not playing them again?
On a side note, does the game have any lifespan?

I'll stop buying games when I am too old and feeble to play them any longer.

I hope I get to that point someday though...

My office at work is in the mailroom of a major national entertainment company, or 'anthrax central' as I call it.

Hopefully that bastard Leno won't be targeted, or I may have to start poppin Cipro in a mad dash for survival!

Hard to say..

If Microsoft or Sony take over, shit goes mainstream, and we have a dystopic future of nothing but Army Men, Tony Hawk, and Tomb Raider games to look forward to, then my new hobby will be DVDs entirely.

I have hope though.. There will always be something new and different out there, so I will continue buying and playing games. There's always the old systems, right?

Never! At least as long as AES carts are concerned which might take an eternity to complete (Kizuna US AES anyone?).

With the demise of Dreamcast a lot of hope died inside me looking at other machines.

Maybe when I finally get a job in the game industry.

Who can tell, I'd say "Never!" but I don't know that. I hope not! I hope I always play videogames but things are different when they're you're job...I mean...Ron Jeremy probably doesn't buy porn.

Hm... I always thought I would never stop buying games for my Master System, but I haven't bought a single game for it since four years now and surprisingly I'm still alive

Generally speaking, as long as I play da games I will buy them, but not at any cost; M$ or big N will never get a dollar from me, period.

I'll stop buying games the day my 3 favorite companies die and no longer make games, Sega, Capcom and SNK.

Probably not for a long while, since I got into collecting video games just recently (June of this year, to be precise).

This is a stupid topic.

The way the question is worded makes it sound like we SHOULD stop playing games.

People like us like to play games. That's it. It's not gonna change.

I'll stop playing games when I'm dead. (obviously)

Well, I'm going to have to go along with never. It's a hobby I've had all my life and it was a great way for my brothers, my father and myself to bond. So, every time I turn on a game system, I think back to the days when we could spend days playing Combat and Armor Ambush on the Atari and Beach Head II on the C=64. Hell I could go on for hours about the great stories that came from those three games alone, and I'm only stopping in the early 80's! Video games have always been a part of my life, and I would like my kids (if and when I choose to have them) to learn of them as well. But, of course, they will full well about the Atari, Coleco, Intellivision, C=64/128, Nintendo, Microvision, Master System, Lynx, Genesis, TurboGrafx, Gameboy, NEO GEO, Super Nintendo and any other "classic" system (sorry I know I left out some) before they really get into the PS 7 or whatever the hell is out then lol. OK I'm done now.
