I think this would be an awesome idea!

Imagine:

Snipets of sampled Neo Geo sound FX and music together with someone singing the praises of SNKglish.

I'd even do it if I had the ambition (I have some of the equipment).

How about it Verbatium or Vinyl Boy?

Great idea, only I'd take clips of Neo music (easy to grab from Neo CDs) and incorporate them into trance/techno style music . . . <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0">

Yeah, makes some songs. A few deserve their own:

Magician Lord
Metal Slug

NAM-1975:
"Summer, 1975"
"Oh no! You're real Enemy is!"
"Summer" "Su-su-summer 1975"
"A nightmare awaits me"
"Oh no! You're real Enemy is!"
"You're real Enemy" "You're real Enemy" " You're real Enemy"
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! The World is MINE!!!"

I actually composed a song that containes some samples from Samurai Spirits 2. Mostly bits of voice and FX used to enhance the composition. It was a combination of Baroque and ethnic techno.

One with SNKglish? Hmmm. Interesting!

(I used to read rock criticism years ago, but know little about music genres)

I don't know what they call Enya and Enigma (hymns? mystical-etheral?), but incorporating this style with the ambience of LB games would be interesting, too. Good luck finding a whispy voice like in the group Enya..

While we are on the subject of gaming music, does anyone remember that Del (the funky homosapien) tune about videogames? It even mentioned the neo-geo...Del knows his shit.

Proto Culture...that was it!

I might upload this too, if anyone wants it.
