Around you there are about 3 that I can remember off the top of my head.

#1 is The new Broadway Arcade which is on 42nd and 8th Ave.

#2 Is Barcodes (you can get your drink on here also..but expect more of the newer stuff instead of Neo Geo stuff) and that is on 40-41st and 7th ave if I remember correctly.

#3 Is the Chinatown Arcade which if memory serves correctly, is on Mott Street. You can grab a cab ride there for about $7 where you will be staying at, or you can ride the train to Canal Street and find your way there. (There are a few train stations around you. The 6 train and N, R trains all go there.)

Barcode was crap so they shut that place down. The DDR game would die for no reason and when you asked for a refund they talked to you like you were an idiot.

Bway City is VERY expensive, and it gets rough at night. And they had a little insident in the night club a few months ago...

The best place to go in the city for fighting games is Chinatown Fair. It's very small, packed together and it smells bad, but they have the games to play.

If you want to go to another good arcade (without neo-geo games) check out 8 on the break in Jersey, there great if you like Capcom fighters and Bemani games.

If you ever go out to LongIsland (please don't) you can stop by my arcade at the south shore mall. It's got crap for fighting games, but the Bemani is good and the people are nice too.

Have fun.

For ORPHEUS

I'm from Holbrook, and boy does it suck, I used to play at the Subway in the Sun Vet Mall were they used to have a really good MVS, but they closed down a long time ago.

I haven't found any MVS or PCB dealers in NYC. I don't live in the city (I'm up north in Connecticut) so I don't know if there are any. I've asked around, but found nothing.

Make sure to check out the import game shops on Mott street in Chinatown. Even if you don't buy any over priced games, it's still cool to see.

There is another cool game shop near NYU on St. Marks Place. Can be over priced, but they have LOTS of old school games. It's worth a visit.

Have fun in NYC, and try not to get overwhelmed.

I go to the one in Chinatown (on Mott St) sometimes, it has alot of MVS machines, and other fighters. Not much in terms of shooting/racing tho, and it is pretty small.

I'm close enough that I would make a trip up, and I'm sure Quixo would love to stab, er, meet you.
