Ever since I got KOF2k in the mail from japan with an inanely loose snap lock. I've stopped snaping my snaplocks in fear that they'd break or become loose like the one I recieving. But now it's becoming quite a pain. Like when I take a game out the other cases spread out, etc.

So what about you! Do you snap your snaplocks?

Man this thread is stupid. oh_no

Yes. Nothing lasts forever. You can be too anal with your stuff. Just take overall good care of your shit and nothing should happen for a good while.

Games I play often, such as BTG, I keep outside their respective cases so I don't have to keep opening and closing the case... just the easiest alternative for moi :)

I have a great idea! You could put all your games in Shock Boxes and keep the snap-locks in a safe place. That is what I have done with all of my games. It takes some getting used to but it sure does the trick. :)

This relates to a question I've been meaning to ask: do all JPN AES KOF 2K carts have loose snaplocks and loose plastic on the outside of the case? My copy is pretty mint, but the snap is definitely way looser than any other carts I have.

I've only seen two other copies of KOF 2K, but both of them (owned by friends) had the same problems - loose snaplocks and loose outer plastic. Is this true for all copies of the game? A slightly different batch of snaplock cases than for other games?

I wouldnt see why. Mine was in pretty bad condition overall (god damn seller  ) so I guess the snaplock was treated like the rest of the game. But now that I think of it the outer plastic is loose.

Could this be some sort of conspiracy?!? eek_2

I admit that the snaplocks feel somewhat fragile, but I always snap mine and have had no problems over the years with them breaking or loosening up too much.

my 2K home cart is in great shape, snaplock and plastic included so it doesnt affect all of them.

I don't snap them close. As far as the plastic goes, both my kof '99 and kof '00 have loose vinyl covering the insert. I figured it was a bad vulcanizing process at the factory. I've noticed mine are not the only ones with the problem, but It't not terribly important to me.
