I sell stuff on ebay, and occasionally it's neo stuff, which is why I assume this gentleman contacted me asking if I had OverTop Racing home-cart. I replied that I did not and was rewarded with what seems like a form letter.

First he apologized for the delay in replying, as he was on holiday (it took about 5 mins to get this reply...). Then he informs me that he's from a faraway country and will soon be in posession of 200 shrinkwrapped NEO CDs and a hundred CD mechanisms, and would I be interested in them?

It's possible he's legit, but in the interest of possibly discovering a scam, I thought I'd see if anyone else has received similar mails recently or in the past? I have kept the details vague intentionally, you'll recognize the pattern if you've seen it, and if he's on the level his identity is protected.

Anyone else received a mail like this? Every part of his reply screams "Nigerian money laundering scam!" to me, and in fact if you applied the following template, it'd fit both perfectly:

"I am <insert fake identity> from <faraway country>. I have access to <insert large amount of attractive goods>. They are from <rare yet plausible source>. If you or anyone you know is interested..."
