Does Ninja Masters have endings? All I ever get is "thanks for playing" or something like that :( . Just checking to make sure my cart is real.

Argg.. I have the darndest luck getting questions answered here. It's so frustrating. Come on guys, I know somebody out there actully plays these games, and doesn't just collect them.

Where's Evil Wasabi or garg when you need them, I know they like this game.

Uh oh! Thanks for getting back to me the_move. Do you know what the endings are like? All I get is "thanks for playing" and no credits or anything. Do you have to do something special to get the real endings? I just got this on home cart. I hope I didn't get ripped :( .

No special drawings!

Just the chars sprite and lots of text. Maybe a background like dawn or a scenery with another char and some slapstick. Nice though.

But I have not seen all yet, coz instead of completing it I try explore new unknown combo-possibilities and note them.

Beating the game at difficulty 4 (normal) should be enough to see them.

What do you mean by "ripped"? How much have you paid?

Thanks the_move! You've been most helpful :) . Yeah, that was the problem, I had it set below level 4. I'll just say that I got a good deal from a reputable dealer ;) (I promised him I wouldn't say what the details of the deal were). I'm sure he wouldn't try to rip me cause he's a great guy, but I was thinking maybe he didn't know about the cart. But it looks like it's authentic, so no worries. Crisis averted :) . I was just playing through on a lower difficulty setting for my first play through and it seemed odd that there were no endings.

Mine has endings... Then some like pan flute type techno song as the credits display (and the characters come out on the screen). I have seen about three different endings for various characters, god I don't know their names, but the old man, the girl with blonde hair and the main ninja looking guy...

You´re welcome!

BTW US or Jap Version? I have a Jap!

It's a Jap version. The US version seems to be too difficult to find :( . And the US version costs more for the same exact game, so I figured I'd go with Jap versions for the expensive games :) . It's a real fun game! It's cool that the endings change depending on what level you beat the game on (like SF2 for SNES). I just beat it on level 8 and got some cool credit screens in addition to the personal ending.

Ninja Masters rules!

The combo-possibilities are insane! I wish MotW would have such a string combo-system.

I agree. I like this kind of combo system better than other games. Perhaps it doesn't require as much skill to do combos as in other games, but I find it more fun and that's what matters. This game is quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters :) . Only time will tell.

Maybe the string are easy to activate, but be reminded that your adversary can use these on you, too!

And despite of some other big mouth on this forum, the variety of combos is far higher than on ANY NeoGeo Game.

I know what I´m saying!

Endings:

Karasu: his sword in the ground by the hut in his background, text scrolls about how he dissappeared after end of the battle, but people spread legends about him being a savior type.

Sasuke: sitting in front of a fire, I forgot the rest

Natsume: the best one. She's taking a bath in the river. Another ninja chick from her clan surprises her from the bushes. They are both happy to be reunited. Ok, It did have Natsume naked taking a bath. You don't see anything, but's still exciting.

Otherwise I play like the_move, mainly to uncover all the combos.

by the way, if you were to start your campaign at level 1, expecting to get easy fights, and think you can just switch to level 8 at the end using a debug mod chip, I don't think that would work, because the level display won't change on the bottom of the screen.

Likewise, if you set the level to 8 and then enter the soft dips during gameplay and switch the level to 1, the level will still be at 8 as described on the bottom of the screen, and the difficulty will not change.

Why it is so difficult to cheat in that game I don't understand.
