Carton Box vs. Plastic Box

Just out of curiosity, ALL the japanese games that were initially released in carton boxes have also a corresponding 'plastic version'? Or there is some game available only in carton?

I believe that ASO II (Alpha Mission II) and Ghost Pilots had only carton box versions for JPN releases. NAM-75 came out both ways, but now I'm thinking that Blues Journey (JPN name Raguy) was also only cardboard box? Not sure.

Total list of cardboard boxed games:

NAM-75
Ghost Pilots
ASO II (Alpha Mission II)
Raguy (Blues Journey)

I have a Nam '75 plastic, so it's both ways for sure.
Ghost Pilots and ASO II are probably carton only...
Not sure about Raguy and Sengoku...
Is there someone who has a japanese Sengoku or Raguy 'plastic'?!?

sengoku,raguy,aso2 and ghost pilots are carton only

i'm...lets say...99.9 % sure


lord,nam,kyo retsuden,top players golf,baseball stars,joy kid,minnasan,ninja combat and super spy....both versions

Hummm... looks like i'm gonna buy at least 4 'carton boxed games'...

Hey Fran, the box size is the same of the plastic one?

but they just dont get along too well with the regular plastic cases

if you know what i mean....


if i remember well,
carton made boxes are a bit larger

but not sure

will have to go and check
