Some quotations on the price guide will be updated, following recent ebay auctions AND private sales.
(Just to name few,jap GAN GAN,Gowcaizer US and some others).
As far as criticisms about the guide pumping up the price, that's must be a blind comment:
check out the jap price guide and you will see almost every game has REALISTIC quotation and often lower than some selling prices put by retailers.
As for the US-Euro price guide,it just must be backed up that english version of neo geo home carts are:
-more difficult to find
-less copies made compared to jap counterparts
-as a general rule, confirmed from private sales and auctions, english carts fetch higher prices.
Looking at those FACTS,an UNBIASED guide must take note of that.
Regarding Kizuna and U 11 euro, real offers for Kizuna were MUCH high but it is listed without any quotation.
We will be putting a clear "not for sale" only mark.
Ultimate 11 is in my long experience little less rare than Kizuna, but still it has great value, well more than a Metal slug 1 for example.
Last offers for U 11 euro were around $2500-3000 but of course it could be worth easily more if we look at a metal Slug 1 for $2800.
Of course, you can find U 11 or whichever home cart for $50 if your lucky and you get it from an ignorant seller.
BUT,a big but,YEARS of neo geo experience (from me and Shawn whom I reckon one of the most expert collector with few others) DO count a lot:
Kizuna and U 11 are without doubt ULTRA rare and worth a lot, never minding about whining and moaning of children.
On japanese side, carts like Chibi quiz,Turfmaster are really rare,Maruko being really rare.
Bottom line: you can get a Maruko or Kizuna or U 11 for $50.
When you will resell it you will get for sure another amount.
You get where the thruth is.
Thanks for all who supported my work with suggestions and advices, like galford,Buster B,Charlie,Fran Brandi and all others,REALLY too many to name.
Special thanks to Enrico Pallazzo.
