How much do you think shipping SHOULD cost?

Let's face it, folks - when you order anything on the internet from a company (or even some individuals on ebay), you get gouged in the ass when it comes to shipping costs.

Buy-rite, Amazon.com, and Macmall all charge OUTRAGEOUS shipping prices. So does Ebgames, NCSX, and many other places.

I think the cost of shipping should be the actual cost + a little bit for a co. to make a profit. Granted, the cost of shipping has gone up a bit in the last few years, but come on. Why can't businesses just use the U.S. Postal service?

I'd like to hear your take on this.

Due to the large amount of selling I've done recently, I actually think those companies you listed charge very fair shipping rates.

Shipping is expensive in general.

Frankly, I think that EBGAMES is extremely fair. They can get a game to me in two days for $4.50 shipping. It is cheaper for me to buy games from the EBGAMES website than going to one of their stores that is about two miles from my house. The store generally charges about $5 more than the web price plus I've got to pay local and state tax there. Oh, and there there is the time it takes to get there, gas, parking etc. Labor ain't free. At least not in the USA. Neither are shipping supplies, tracking, customer service, etc. Someone has to get the item, pack it, set it up for tracking and get it out to you in good shape. I myself have shipped hundreds of items over the years. It ain't cheap if you want it fast, guaranteed or tracked. It does take time to process an order...

I think the prices are pretty fair, I don't mind paying them at all.

But try paying the shipping for a 4-Slot Neo cab, ouch!

ridiculous: shipping from hong kong

unfair: shipping from Japan

ok: shipping in the US.

Outrageous - shipping from UK to anywhere (EMS)

In general, as we're the daddies I think shipping should be free - just for us <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" />
