Okay, this guide shows the new additional way to increase the prices artificially:
1. It needs at least 3 Persons and one EER game copy.
2. Offer the copy on Ebay

3. Now the 2 others start to bid. Other bidders from outside are welcome to raise the price.

4. Raise it to an insane amount.

5. If the article is won by one of the 2 fake bidders, no prob. Simply a good feedback and next time the winner offers it on Ebay.

6. If really another bidder from outside took the highest bid (2800$?), congratulations!

Easy, but effective!

So try it out!

Note to the "MODmins": If you feel to move a thread move it to the right place! This is a serious thread with a serious background and does not belong to the warroom! You once more placed it in the warroom! That´s the wrong place!

If you recognize any of those 6 actions listed above, which were committed by yourself the better, I can understand why you move this to the warroom. Beaten dogs bark!
Either Discussion or Unrelated, not warroom.

Pricejacking IS happening. So if this is a Community this can be discussed, indeed!

I'm sorry but listening to you it 's quite embarrassing.
PLEASE educate yourself before opening your mouth.

REAL bids on that metal slug 1 US got to $2300 or little more but the RESERVE was $2800 and it was MET,SO:

NO FAKE BIDDERS at all. Can you get that?

Just a reserve price MET by someone who wanted to have the most sought after game for collecting purpose.

Thanks for your lucky understanding.

People are greedy. They buy it new for $300, play it a couple years then sell it to some fool for $600 or more.

Why cannot you understand that neo geo home carts are
COLLECTOR'S ITEMS

You should stop whining and screaming like that and pick up mvs converted home cart if you like the artwork.

It's not playing anymore when you want home carts,Tarma explained it well to you.

BTW The price guide again shows a realistic and FACTUAL value for Metal slug 1 US.

A reserve Price of 2800 $ is even more ridiculous than the reserve price option itself.

If I want something to go at a certain price, I set this as the minimum price!

Thanks for another proof that you, Simone, have an interest in this ridiculous inflation! Think you already have taken enough profit out of it!
Would I ruin your business, if people lighten up?! Think so! Like of many other of your sort, who think the prices can be risen and decreased to their purpose!

Come with a better excuse, Legal Ripper!

That's sad, when it is proved that your wrong, how you are saying nonsense about that auction, you always end up insulting persons.

Personally I NEVER sold Metal slug 1 US and sold very FEW JAPANESE carts, speaking of which,on the guide you can see almost all jap carts went down in price.

So again your wrong.

You are now more wrong if possible if you reckon that I am a US cart collector if I can afford some titles.

I cannot afford Metal slug 1 US but it's not my problem to back up facts to keep the guide accurate.

You call a 2800$ reserved price reasonable?

And a proof???

Now this is unreasonable!

Hey The_Move, one of your countrymen is selling a little plastic Smurfette figure for a hundred dollars. Looks legitimate too, due to the feedback history. Go Troll the Smurf collectible scene for a while, I am sure they will be as interested in what you have to say as we are.

Uh the_move... I don't think so. Why? The seller will have to pay the fee based on the winning bid. What good would that do the seller? Fake bid, fake praise, real fees. Makes no sense.

Maybe it´s from the 60! And not from the 90´s

When the price Guide for "Magic the Gathering" Trading Cart Game was introduce the price for the "Black Lotus" Card raised to 400$+.

Another proof for the abusal of a price guide!

Don't be so ignorant tp reckon that only things from 1960 or so can be collectable.

Again, your a gamer and should give up searching for rare and expensive carts.

Consider that: your friend -WHO DOESN'T KNOW the MARKET-sells to you Metal slug 1 for $500 or 600 or the low amount you reckon right.

He will discover later than more than 10 persosn or maybe 20 will have paid it $1500 or little more or less.

So who is right? Everyone has the right to sell at market price his carts and NOT taking a loss.

More, try to ask prices of neo geo home cart in Tokio,Kizuna encounter jap is for sale for $800+,not speaking of slug 1 jap,$1200 or more.

Hey,they must follow our pirce guide, you bet!

You dare to tell me what I should have and what I should have not! I am not that greedy that I want all games, but there are title, which DO belong to MY shelve, as they were originally destined to! Do not dare to bother again! There is a reason why I am called the_move. Christopher Belmondo, who is present on these forums has given me that name, so you can ask him about the reasons!

I think "the_move" needs a custom avatar so that everyone knows what a bitch he is.

Not a week goes by where he doesn't start a thread to bitch and moan about the guide.

This gets really old, really fast. We know what you think now shut the F up!

I do understand how you want things and cannot afford them, but I think you've got the wrong state of mind. You are not entitled to have these games. That is to say they do not "belong" on your shelf. It would be nice if the games were cheaper so that I could complete my collection easily and own a real MS1, but that is just not the case. I would like a Porsche 911, but it does not belong to me and yelling at people who sell the car at market price is just silly. I feel your pain, but that's just the way it is. The market system really is a great system. It does have problems, but just because I can't afford some things I want is no reason to change it.

I may be totally ignorant on this, but it seems more like the price guide is reacting to current market prices. The prices on ebay and from other sellers are about on the level as the price guide. If games could be found for much cheaper from some source, then a smart seller would sell them cheaper, to undercut the competition and generate more revenue. This would cause other sellers to lower their prices or fold up shop. It's just simple economics. But the prices are as they are. I'm not suggesting that the price guide is perfect, but it does give a good representation of the prices. It also keeps people like me from getting ripped off, as I can just look at the price guide and get a sense of what a game is worth.

I understand your argument, I really do, but I think the price guide is not really causing prices to inflate.

I'm thinking that you're not willing to compromise on this issue :) .

I disagree with you, but you're more than entitled to your own opinion.

Well, let's go with your assumption that everyone is greedy. What's the solution then? And don't say get everyone to lower their prices. I mean an honest to goodness plan to get prices back to "normal". Also, what good would getting rid of the price guide do? I think it would cause many people to get ripped off because they didn't have a gauge for prices.

3 years ago I could get a MS1 US for 700DM. Too bad I was blanc!

But that was even more than a reasonable price!
