Friend in UK found Japanese Last Blade 2 for DC for $29 US new ...

A friend of mine happened upon the Japanese version of Last Blade 2 - Final Edition (Bakumatsuroman dai ni maku GEKKA NO KENSHI final edition) for Dreamcast for 20 pounds or $29 USD. He says the shop has more of them, so I told him he should gobble them up and sell them. I noticed that NCS doesn't even show the game anymore ... how much would these go for? I told him he could pretty easily double his money because I've seen you guys say the import is hard to find now. And is anyone interested? I'm not making this post to make a sale, I honestly want to know what my friend should do with these games and what he can get if he buys them. I thought you guys would know much better than I would.

Brand new that game cost $53 from NCS. Its probably still worth that, I doubt a whole lot more since the game can be found if you look around for it. And its out in the U.S. for only $29 brand new, which will keep the value of the import copy down.

Of course the U.S. release was censored and is a piece of crap, so at least in my opinion the import copy (uncensored) is worth a LOT more than the U.S. copy. But for those who don't care about the censorship (most people probably), that doesn't matter.

Thanks ... I figured that it would only sell to the more hardcore that would care. I didn't see it at NCS a few minutes ago, did I miss it? I searched the full name, the short name (in caps), and the US translation of the name and didn't see it. Do you know anywhere else that has it in stock so that I can see?

Actually I just did a search at NCS, and saw that the Final Edition (import) is getting a re-release on 11/22/01, only $33.00. Glad you mentioned this, I'll pick up one or two copies of the re-released one as well now! (Already have two of the original JPN import copies). <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

That re-release was announced before the Bankrupt problem, ive heard from a number of people it's since been canceled, especially due to the low Garou sales on DC.

OK thanks for enlightening me. At least I got my import copies early, before the pitiful censored U.S. release came out. Too bad the re-release might not happen, its a fantastic game that everyone should have . . .

Check magic box, SNK officially canceled the re release.

What store did he find these in?
