Hey soccer is great, but soccer on the neo isn't IMHO. But yeah, those two games are probably the pick of the bunch.

Living in England, I too love soccer. I'd like to know how many of you US guys like the sport...

I swear by the sport... been playing since i was 5 or 6. Now that I'm 29, i gotta find adult leagues to get my fix As far as the Neo goes, Sidekicks 2 and NeoGeo Cup '98 are my favs. Nothing beats "France '98 Road to Win" on Sega Saturn import tho... awesome game

MOROCCO IN 2002!

Hey cool...do you support a club team? I mean, are the US leagues any good or do you prefer to watch coverage from abroad? And why Morocco? heheh

Oh...before this goes off-topic too much...Soccer Brawl is poo. Dont buy it.

I used to watch the English premier league when I could years ago (back when the owls were halfway decent ) but i don't have the time to keep up with it like i used to... US soccer is OK, but I can't wait till the next cup to see some good matches. Here in the US, only during world cup do you get decent game coverage (I'm talking about those without satellite dishes or all the cable sports channels), and I relish watching Int'l matchups with their different playing styles. I've always liked Morocco because they're a good "underdog" team.. too underdog as Senegal edged 'em out of 2002 qualifying. being a dedicated fan is hard work sometimes

"Soccer"?

That's, like, football with feet, right?

Seriously, though, I usually only pay attention to the FIFA qualifiers up to the World Cup.

So, the games available are: SS, SS2, Goal Goal Goal, Neo Geo Cup '98, Ultimate 11... am I missing something else? I don't count Soccer Brawl 'cause I once had it and it became boring after a few games

You're missing Super Sidekicks 3, but it's just the original version of Neo-Geo Cup '98 (NGC '98 ids an update of SS3) and Futsal .

Probably your best choice is SS3(NGC'98) or SS4. SS3 is the less expensive, can be found for $70/80...
The MVS only titles are quite cheap...

Wow...the US must be one of the only countries in the world not ot have decent coverage of soccer! I pity you guys...

The owls? Ouch! heheh coming from Manchester, I support Man U. And England of course, who are doing quite well now thanks to the sweedish intervention. Sven, Sven, Sven...

Wow - another soccer thread.

So I might as well post the same thing which I wrote in the 16-bit forum: "I think they all suck - I favor the games from the Perfect Striker / Intern. Superstar Soccer series for N64, even though the grafics looked "washed", the gameplay rules supreme."

If you absolutly must have a soccer game for the Neo stick with Super Sideskicks 3&4 or Goal Goal Goal (if you find a cheap one).
