it's a device that lets you hook up jamma arcade boards to a standard TV. There are home made and also professionally made ones like Mas Systems Supernova etc. A lot of people (including myself) use these to play our Neo MVS boards... here's a pic of the one I use (home made one):

If you go to this site you will find some pics of various superguns etc if you are interested.

Underdog:
How does a Supergun compare to an AES system in cost?
If you have the knowledge, you can build your own supergun quite easily if you can get hold of the right parts for it - I'm not the best person to ask about this though, try asking on the tech forum :) . Professional ones like Mas Systems super Nova cost around $300 or so... depends on what you go for really. Bear in mind you'll also need to buy an MVS motherboard too to be able to play any Neo Geo games.

Although it might be a bit more hassle to setup, MVS games are mostly cheaper than the home cart versions... that's why a lot of us buy MVS stuff :)

Porshapwr: thanks :)

This is a Suerpgun:

It is a kickass device that lets you play arcade games at home. It's a bit more expensive at first for the whole system hookup. But much much cheaper when buying games. Mark of the Wolves Home Version I saw it for like $385 on Ebay, I purchased the same cart except the MVS Arcade version for $65 from mdgamesales. My MVS board + Supergun + XRGB2+ cost me about $475, but you can get them cheaper by adding a jrok for the video which will cost you $75. I choose to get a XRGB2+ for my supergun as the colors are richer and sharper on the monitor but I had to pay the price. The maker of my Supergun is Frasermozz@aol.com he is a cool as hell guy and very honest. Give him a email if interested...

Yeah I've noticed how much cheaper some MVS stuff is.

I'm a big collector so getting the home carts is going to be my main focus. However, I may pick up a Phantom 1 to play some of the games that I just can't afford in AES form.

Hey man, I like the labels of your carts. Where are these from? Did you printed them using current paper?

Nice gaming set up. Original way of keeping your control pads. buttrock

Mysteriozone: You should submit some pics of your SuperGun setup to The SuperGun Repository. I would love to display your project there.

Nope not yet - we did talk about it but I think he was going to sort out hosting with someone else. If he can't get them hosted anywehere I'd be happy to post them up for him though :)

Mysteriozone: Someone should do an AOF box set insert... that would rule :)
