I could only detect one change in the US guide (Last Blade 2) - is there more I didn`t see?

A general suggestions though:

The green/red up/down arrows indicating changes should only be there in the current update, not still several updates thereafter to stop being confusing. Otherwise you look at the guide seeing updates where there actually are none since the arrows were there already many times for certain titles/prices.

Kizuna Encounter US/Euro, 3known copies?

I would say 4 known copies now, with the one
that surfaced a couple of weeks ago.

Why the 4000+ Dollars mention to Ultimate Eleven ?

That one is quite questionable.

Sudently it goes up to 4000+ bucks ??? Some trick is in the air I guess...

Damn Neo Geo inflating prices!

no offense FTL but this is a real shitty attempt to try and keep prices up. Notice how he raised a bunch of rare titles. Your just as bad as Edge writing that editorial on the rarity of neo geo games.

Are US LB2s really THAT difficult to come by?

And if anything deserves a baseline price jacking, it's MD2. That game is far rarer than MD3, based on my experience hunting it. Many MD3s came up during the time span I hunted MD2; and yes, I know MD3 is superior from a game play standpoint, but since when did collectors give a rat's ass about that? A mint MD2 should go for no less than $450.00.

I may shoot myself in the foot for this (when I want to buy it), but I agree with Dolphinlord that MD2 is worth more than the listing price.

Same with ShinOuKen, Overtop, and Stakes Winner 2.

I mean, if you throw out an offer at the peak price guide value and no one sells you a copy, then the guide may well be wrong.

And at the prices listed, you will not get a mint copy of any of those games.

Add Syougi no Tatsujin as well. Hard as balls to get mint. Most of the time you'll get a Master of Sunfade instead.

There were two known copies until Wolfgang from Austria came forward with a 3rd copy. We updated to 3 on the day Wolfgang confirmed with quotes from the manual and scanned manual pages.

I dont see how that can fetch that said price. I dont ever recall seeing one sell for that much. Thats a stab in the dark at best.

Not to offend whoever was responsible, but a mark of any kind in the public would be a good reinforcer, unless I missed it.

Allow me to join the MD2 parade. It's much more difficult to find, esp. totally non-faded as per the colour of the spine, and seems to fetch nearly as much as its sequel when it does sell. I have loosely been looking to re-acquire a copy for myself during the past few months and the results only echo what DolphinLord + EvilWasabi stated.

Stakes Winner 2 is nearly impossible to find non-faded these days. It's just sad to see what most spines & covers resemble, when the game even surfaces that is. But then with nearly non-existent public sales of mint and unfaded copies, I can only hope for your sake that wind of private sales blows your way.

1)Magical drop 2 is rarer than MD 3 I agree, but sold for slighty less than MD 3,hence the difference.

2)Last Blade 2 US:on the neo store and neoayato(2 of the biggest neo geo shops) sold for $600.
Becoming harder and harder to find.

3)Ultimate 11:last copy went time ago for $3000+.
Now it is SO rare offers got way more.
It is not a normal home cart,it is quite impossible to get.

4)Pulstar:last apprearances on Ebay,it went for less than $500,but private sales did more I know.

6)Master of S.,Over Top and so on:seeesm to me that near mint condition copies(maybe meaning slightly faded)fit in the quotes.
It is a matter to pay a premiumi now to have a perfect one of those.

Some updates again.

Suggestions again welcome.

I basically agree saying Master od Syogi and Drop 2 are really some of the rarest titles to find in great shape. Ans Stakes Winner 2 is no doubt in the same boat...

FTL, it's quite strange why you're always ( only ) updating high value carts.

Why don't you take care of carts like Viewpoint, KOF99, Andro Dunos, ADK, Ninja Commando... ?

Just for you to see :

Price guide for Samurai Shodown III

is quoted as 110 ~ 170 from mint to near mint.

This <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3525&item=3008888228" target="_blank">Samurai Shodown III</a> is not only MINT, but it's also NEW and it ended at 102 €uros.

No updates towards this game were done and this is a significant one to update since the final sale reflected from a NEW "unused" Game.

And I mean NEW like directly from the factory.

The auction is french, but I know that seller personally and he's thrustworthy.

Now tell us. Why do you only care about Top money carts ? spock

Will I think some of the higer carts have been reduced down. Take RBFF2 for example, I think this cart was pretty expensive not long ago like last year sometimes. It's already below the $200 mark which makes it good :) for me anyways. Now about the ko2001 game, it should go down as well because people been selling it for around $195. The price guide should then be around there to the new price of $235.

You`re a funny guy - too bad I have to pulverize all of your arguments :D

1. Did you already forget that YOUR OWN auctions of e.g. Ninja Commando and Mutation Nation ended ABOVE the upper price guide limit not too long ago? Although they were not even near mint which is the minimum requirement of the guide?

2. Andro Dunos Euro e.g. always ends at 80+ Euros on ebay.de, the second largest English speaking Neo AES market next to ebay.com .

3. That auction you quoted perfectly fits in the price guide because 102 Euro = 110 US$ which is exactly the lower limit. And: The condition of this guys` games have to be taken with with caution. I personnally bought from him and the condition was FAR worse than described (he took the game back then at my request).

See? Stop downtalking prices when they are not moving. shame Nice try though

Yeah especially the KOF series isn't selling nearly for what the price guide says. Please be thorough.

Don't try to be a smartass newb.

does 110 Dollars ( or 102 €uros whatever.. ) as the minimum quote apply's to a NEW GAME ?

The game is NEW, not "near mint" wich stands for the 110 Dollars, or even much less the 170 dollars for the "mint" condition.

AGAIN : THE GAME IS NEW. And I haven't dealt only once with this seller.

And now about my auctions, what the fuck do you have to care about them ? spock I know those games weren't worth those prices, I didn't forced somebody to pay that high. I KNOW THEY WORTH LESS. And you never saw me telling people to update those prices in the priceguide based on my final auction sales.

Open your eyes.

Ebay.de isn't the same thing as Ebay.com. Ebay.de users usually pay more for auctions than people over ebay.com . That's a fact. Just figure the Neo Geo sales final prices in USA and Germany.

Pulverizing ? spock Get a life. oh_no

That SSIII looks used/faded just from the cart box.

Regardless, 1 auction/deal does not change the guide for 98% of the available home carts. Kizuna and U11 are special cases though.

So what should Viewpoint be listed at? The range in price is so broad for that game. I mean, I know people that paid under $200 for a japanese version, and people that paid well over $300 for it. It really depends on condition, and trust. If Neo Bomberman or 16-Bits says mint Viewpoint for $300 and then someone else that I never bought from says $200 for a mint Viewpoint, who do you think I'll trust? A lot of sellers are like that - they pay more for the assurance of an item sold as described.

Well, anyhow, I am sure that whoever won that SSIII will be happy knowing that they scored a victory below the price guide value  Of course, the better looking Japanese version can be had for $60~70.

I have stated Viewpoint just as an example Charlie.

Look, why do we have only updates on top dollar titles ?

I know Simone must be excited updating them ( as everybody would smirk ) , But a lot of more common games ( US/Euro ) like Viewpoint, Top Hunter, Spinmaster, Sidekicks 3, 3 Count Bout, Aero Fighters 2 and so on are never updated.

Simone, I know your updating job at the price guide may be a very dificult task to get the prices accurate, but you only focus that much on "RARE" or "VERY RARE" titles.

As far as I'm concerned, the US/Euro Price guide list have 104 games listed. update the lower games too please.

No pressure Simone. Just my 2 cents. smirk
