I just sold my CDZ System. I am looking for a NGH System or a Super Nova or something, so I can play Sengoku 3 and Metal Slug 4. Since those are not made for the CD System. I am not looking to spend a lot though. I have about $450.00 to $500.00 to get a system and at least one of those games. I really want a Sigma or Super Nova, but do not know enough about either? Can anyone help me out?!? Thanks all in advance!

Home system eh? If i were in your shoes, i'd get a supernova. The supernova (in order to play neo games) would require you to get a neo geo motherboard. In the long run, if you really love these older games or just arcade games in general the supergun will give you the most bang for the buck. www.massystems.com and GW trading both sell supergun units. The home system can be found relativley inexpensively and a phantom 1 convertor will allow you to play the dirt cheap mvs carts.

I went to that web-site and sent them an e-mail. I just want to make sure the Super NOVA Arcade System comes with the 2 joysticks, and all the hook-ups for my TV like the NGH System does, so when I get it I just plug it into my TV and play. Also, I want to make sure it plays ALL MVS Games. Thanks!

ahh! not quite. You'll still need an arcade pcb or neo geo motherboard to play games on.

Due to your finacial situation I would have to recommend that you purchase a Super Gun device and an MVS 1 slot. There have been alot of good deals in the selling forum lately..Robert Wallace has some stuff. I have a Super Gun device that I may be willing to part with...It is a home made device with the RGB-NTSC converter,harness,A/V,etc but no game ports...This is where the 1 slot board would come in because it has the ports right on the pcb but I think I am going to modify this thing before I decide what to do with it..
But yeah, there is no way you'd be able to get an NGH System,The Phantom 1 and Metal Slug 4 for 450.00 - 500.00
Phantom 1 is 280.00,the NGH is 200.00 and the game is not going to be 20.00

Thanks Magnaflux. I said that because on the web-site under the Super NOVA Arcade System it says, "The Super NOVA Arcade System brings you the real Arcade Experience home - a complete system designed to replace the full-size upright Arcade cabinet. It comes with everything you need to connect to a regular Television with Composite Video and/or S-Video Inputs, and to an Audio Stereo system using standard RCA connectors." That is why I thought I would be good with just the Super NOVA Arcade System. Will it play all MVS games? Thanks again Magnaflux!

Yeah, it'll play all mvs games if you get a neo geo motherboard to plug into the supergun.

you have to buy the supernova and THEN a neo board also. not just eh supernova. that just lets you hook everything up so you can play it on a standard tv not an rgb monitor.

Won't this be a messy setup if everything is not in one thing, like a cabinet? Or does the MVS Board fit into the Super Nova? Just curious! Thanks!

I saw Shawn had this for sale:

The mini 1-Slot MVS kit comes complete & new in box with 16 page user's manual. Very high serial # @ 2 million+. Clearly the newest of the MVS boards manufactured.
Item # 382 Item Price: $175.00 / each

Is that what I need with this Super Nova?

Thanks!

Well, it is going to run me about $515.00 for the New Super Nova System from Massytem and the New 1 - Slot MVS Board from Shawn. Is it worth it? Or is a Phantom 1 and NGH System better? Thanks!

I am selling a 2 Slot MVS board, it has the Home Joystick Ports.

If you are getting a Supergun, I would reccomend getting a Sigma. I have owned the 6000 Model and it kicks ass. I have sold it though because I built my own gun.

Not too long ago when I sold my Sigma, there were several different members here that also had a Sigma for sale. I saw a Sigma 3000 with 2 Joysticks up for sale the price was very reasonable I think it was like 200 something. There should be a few 6000 Models out there also...for around 300+ just make a new post concerning the Sigma or Supernova...........

I also am selling my Irritating Maze Kit, it comes with a Brand New 1 Slot MVS board and many extras........have a look:

I think I sent you a MVS game with your purchase of that New Style Joystick last time so you can use it with this board.

This one comes with the manuels and a Free New Syle Joystick.

It also is the only MVS board with a built in Memory Card Reader.

See the selling post regarding my sales.

Thanks,
Robert

The 2 Slot I am selling will come with 4 Manuels,a used New Style Joystick(Yes it works perfect)and free shipping. Shop around you will not find a better deal....

That two slot board is probably the best MVS board you can get to use with the supergun unit. Comes with a memory card slot, and controller ports.

If you don't need the supergun for anything but Neo, you don't need a supergun with controller ports. That can save you some cash.

There's people here that can build you a good supergun for cheap. Request or purchase that Jrock RGB to NTSC converter, go with S-Video, and you'll be in good shape.

If you're after awesome arcade sticks, go with that MAS Supernova. It's great for the price. Call them, they usually don't answer e-mail.

Thanks for letting me know that Robert because I grabbed my joystick and the box was sitting outside in the garbage. I went back to look and the game was in there. Puzzle de Pon. Thanks!

Yes, it will be a messy setup. The home system with a Phantom 1 is cleaner.

I built my own supergun once and mounted everything in a large Rubbermaid container. I cut holes for the joystick and power cables, then mounted the S-Video and RCA connectors on the back.

That is funny brentsg, I keep all my systems, when not in use, in a rubbermaid container to keep them as much dust free as possible. I thought I was the only one! Thanks for the tip!
