Just ordered SS2

Man, after waiting and waiting, the NeoStore finally got a copy! So I just ordered it and I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS MASTERPIECE!!!! I've played it before when I was on vacation, the resort had an MVS with SS2 on it, it was like gaming heaven... Anyone else remember the first time they played this game?

SS2 is my second 100 Meg Shock game after AOF.

I spent $209 + shipping for this baby when it first came out.

SS2, of course, surpasses the almighty SS, is one of my favorite Neo fighters.

I can still remember the 1st time I saw it in the arcade... that was about the moment that I realised I would NEED to own a Neo Geo at some point

I play it every now and again. I'm part of the "It's just OK" resistence. There's many, many games I'd play before it, and honestly I don't see how people can praise it so much.

Why dont you just get a aes? They have pretty good deals at the neostore, sure, $419 is quite a bit (cheapest one there) but it's gonna cost a bit in the end anyway...

(Then theres ebay, but I only buy from the neostore buttrock )

I think the reason it gets so much praise is because many people were fans of the first game when it came out. When they heard of a sequel, it was more or less "how the hell are they gonna improve on THAT". Well, when it came out, they did, we were shocked, and that shock has lingered for almost 10 years. That doesn't take away the fact that it's still a solid game in it's own right, but many people getting into the Neo later than others would probably look at us (the people who praise SS2 so much) and not understand.

Then again, that's just the majority. There are a few people out there that still like the original SS over 2, but it really isn't the voice of the many hehe

If I may, I have some good eBay recommendations. Try "search" then click on "by store" then on the bottom line, try "Bivari" or "game-baka-1dai". Those are some solid sellers from Japan, they almost always have good stock of NEO GEO carts, and the prices aren't too shabby. I've bought from both of them, no problem.

A couple of sites to check out as well: (Neogeotrade.com) and (Neoayato.com). Those two sites can be referred to by many members here, who have purchased from those sellers. The first is situated in Thailand and the second in France. They have good stock as well.

And finally, check out the selling/trading forums right here, there are always games up for sale, and theres many good deals to be found.

Just some friendly advice, as you can find the other games the neostore doesn't have available through other sources.

I dont know why people feel the need to say they have ordered or got a new game, but for sure SS2 is one of the greatest games ever, best SS at least.

As for having it on CD, the load times aint to bad and it has one of the best musical scores ever, much better than the AES music, and thats saying something.

Same here. I guess its because i didn't play it on it's release. I would take any of the Real Bouts, KOF or Last Blades before SS2. Mind you, SS4 is my favourite in the SS series... Still, it doesn't hurt to go against the grain once in a while :cool:

SS2 is a good game, but inferior to the original.

I think it's the best fighting game of all time.

But I first played it shortly after it came out, when a guy I knew brought it back from Japan. And I can still play it and appreciate it just as much as then. Amazing in both one and two player modes, which many fighting games cannot claim.

See I dont have a job, and AES games are quite expensive, especially the ones I would like to get. Basically Im goanna stick with my neo cd untill I get my job, and then im goanna go mvs
