I am about 50 miles west of Charleston WV and would be about 4.5 hours drive to Pittsburgh.

I am game for a get together providing it was scheduled in advance. That way I could get the time off.

What town would this happen in? Anything an hour north of Pittsburgh is pretty close to me. I'd be up for a get together.

I am up for a get together, as long as it is scheduled in advance, so I can work out the logistics.

I am in Maryland. 3 hour drive or so.

Anyone know any good arcades in the area? I'd be willing to drive for a couple hours if there's a better central location that everyone could make it to. Around here I only know of one arcade and the only neo in it is a 4 slot with Magical drop 2, Sonic Wings 2, Puzzle Bubble, and MS 2. My family owns a pizza store about 30 minutes towards pittsburgh in Moon, so I could bring as much pizza as we would need for free drool

Btw, love this pic of Rimmer

You are my new best friend. buttrock

Anyway, I'm in Northern Virginia, about 4 or 5 hours away so I'd be up for a get-together. EvilMike usually has a Neo gathering every few Sundays at his place near College Park, MD. I'm sure there's a number of people from our group that would be interested in coming up. Also, I may be hosting one at some point if I can ever get myself organized...

I'm up for it!

About 2 hours North of Pittsburgh here, and I know Bill (a.k.a. vidgameman73) would probably also be interested. We're getting together this weekend, so I'll double check with him then.

Also, as far as location, I've got a 2-slot cab, as well as a home cart system, so if worse came to worse we could always hook up at my place if nothing else becomes available.

Just need enough advance warning to make sure my schedule won't conflict.

There's an arcade on Smithfield Street in downtown Pittsburgh that should have 2 or 3 MVS machines. Other than that there's the arcade in U Pitt, which had 1 MVS, but knowing H Lazar and Son, it's probably replaced with a megatouch or some shit like that.

I live in Pittsburgh, so I might be up for something too. As for MVS systems, I know of a couple of places that have them, but nothing too spectacular. The 2 ones I'm thinking of are 1-slots, one of which has Bust-A-Move Again and the other AOF3. I actually also used to go to an arcade that had a couple of 4-slots, but I haven't been there in at least a year or so.

As far as I know, March 8th would be good for me too.

I'll check with Bill this weekend to see if he'll be able to make it as well.

Sad to hear it. I work Saturdays as well, but I can get them off without any trouble. I'm busy on all weekdays, so the weekend is really the only option for me.

Does anyone have anything against maybe some mini tournys?? I could bring my digital video camera to tape matches. That way someone could burn some of our matches to dvd & we can have like a Northeast Neo-Geo.com dvd thingy. Something we could share w/other members of the boards. Just an idea, any opinions?? (i think micheal yagami wouldn't mind that!!)

Sounds good to me. I'm a bit scrubby though, but I'm always up to play.
So, March 8th looks fairly good for most of you, I suppose we'll plan for then. Like I said I can get Pizza for everyone. We still need to find a good location, any fairly large room without alot of stuff would do, like a lobby of an apartment building or something. I have two ideas, I was talking to my sister (who is enrolled at Geneva college about 5 min. from my house) and she says they have a convention room in their dining hall that you can rent out for 20-40 bucks. I could also look into asking to use some space at the church I attend, they usually have no one there on saturdays (they have an NES as well).
I don't have much in the way of televisions and such, I have a 20 inch sony flat with s-video and the like, but nothing bigger. If you all want to list what stuff you could bring that would be cool. I have a (largish) consolized MVS board (Universe Bios), with 8 games, those bieng Magical Drop 3, Puzzled, KOF 98, Garou, Last Blade 2, Super Sidekicks 2, Windjammers, and Metal Slug. I should be ordering at least one more game before march though. Anyways, looks good so far buttrock
