MS1 on PS1?

Does anybody know how good of a port this is? And when was it released?

Amazingly, this game looks great in still shots. But ALOT of animation is cut, and the game stops and load halfway through each level. I think if you have NEVER played any version of MS1, you will be okay with it. But if you have played the original or the Saturn Rev, you will not be able to tolerate the massive animation frames lost, and loading during the level.

it's rather pale compared to the Saturn version. Best version is the NCD version - for english!

I got this one a while ago. It was my first opportunity to play slug 1 so I liked it alot. The loading in the middle of levels is kinda annoying but it's not all that bad.
On the plus side this is the cheapest version of slug 1 you can get. I got mine for 25 if I remember correctly. It's worth the low price, just don't expect too much from it.

Yeah it sucks compared to the Saturn, Neo CD or original Neo Geo version. As people have mentioned, animation is cut and the load times are pretty silly (like most PSX conversions really). I played it once for about half an hour at a friends house, but never again

Yep, and it's a much better port than Slug 1, less cuts & better sound. It still loads in mid-level, but IMO that's hardly a problem.

It also contains additional stuff, "another mission", etc.

I have both Saturn and NCD

I don't think NCD is better than Saturn one
