... because we have 1st and 2nd run Garou Densetsu's!!!! buttrock

I shit you not, SNK produced 2 runs of Jap Fatal Fury. Alterations can be found in the inserts, specifically the colour satuartion (one is much darker, the other lighter and sharper - no, it's not sunfading  )
The major difference on the insert is in the information box on the bottom rear (please refer to my photos)
One run comes with the rose epilepsy warning sheet
Different manuals too!

SNK throws us a curve ball every day it would seem.... glee glee glee

As I said, multiple pruduction runs were made for a vast majority of JPN neogeo games, especially the 'big' ones...

Yeah, but how do you identify which is 1st run and which is 2nd?
I mean with MS3 it's easy, but with these older games... plus which is rarer? 1st run? 2nd run? 3rd run?....

When I finaly walk up to someone on the street and the tell me the have Ever single NGH (Euro,Japan,US,Korean, 1st run, 2nd run, 3rd run, Spanish manual, french manual, german manual, paper box, etc) I will personaly go home, Get my Baseball Bat and play BaseBall Stars on his head for keeping all these games and not letting others give them a try.

Seriously I buy a lot of Neo stuff but that can be a little much.

Although I never considered myself a collector wink Just a oppinion

Yeah, gets a bit extreme at times!

Personally I didn't think SNK changed the art work across runs.
All they did with MS3 was alter one page in the manual (oh and no warning sticker, but they had none by then anyway).
I've seen early releases that have stickers over the phone # where SNK have changed it, but not as many differences as there are here with Fatal Fury. Both are Jap too. Most differences lie in the Euro and US counterparts not Jap runs... from what I've seen thus far. Only reason I bothered reporting this really.

I know

one of the carts I had purchased from SNK USA(I think it was Shock troopers 2 Japanes). Had the warning sticker placed on it diagonaly. I removed it and straighten it out. I think there are a lot of inconsistency with how things were made (us labels over japanes ones) etc.

who is to say on a second run they did not have extra paperwork left over and made as many of those complete then printed another run of paperwork. or prehaps ran out of paperwork mid 1st run and had to print more.

It seems a little silly to actually try to track which one is rarer then the other to me. But of course that is My oppinion.

If tomorrow as discussed in another thread some one said that Kabuki klash with a warrenty card is worth X$ more then Kabuki without. People would take thier warrenty card and put it in thier Kabuki.

Quite a bunch of Neo games had more than a production run with some differencies.

Gold warning Sticker (present/unpresent) as for Metal Slug, Art of Fighting 3, Fuun Super Tag Battle, Twinkle Star Sprites.

(supposedly, the older runs are the one s WITHOUT the GWS here)

Sometimes, case type changed from run to run (this is the case of KOF99, and many others).

Tel. Numbers changes also made different insert or special stickers on insert from run to run of particular games (as for stickers, this happned very often with carton boxed games, which were also cahnged in barcode matter)

Again, SNK is nothing like production consistency...

Yes, but these are mainly post production discrepencies, or minor changes. This Garou example shows two totally different inserts and the manual is different as well.
Applying stickers or not applying stickers (either neatly of in Phil's case not) is one thing, changing printing plates is something else - and a lost more costly than applying a small sticker to cover an obsolete phone #.

Several different things in the way it is presented. Best thing is, pm me your email and I'll send you pics with all the differences marked off. :)
