Well I finally got my 4-slot I've been looking for, although it did take a bit of driving. Since I don't have a van of my own I rented one from Enterprise last weekend and drove down to Briggs' place near Atlanta (about 10 hours one-way).

BTW, for those that are curious these things are damn heavy! wink When I got it home I removed as much paneling as I could along with the monitor, and it still took 3 people to get it up one flight of stairs. loco

Anyway, I've still got some touch-up work to do on it, like replacing the molding and painting a couple places. I took some pics which are linked below. I'm not sure if my drive qualifies for a record (although most of my friends think I'm insane for doing this). I don't care though, as now I've got a companion for my baby (my Ms. Pac-Man Cocktail).

No kidding, me and my dad had to lug mine up a flight of stairs to, it's a good thing he is a big guy or I would've been screwed.

Nice cab though, same one I've got.

Although I never touched mine up, I think a few paint scrapes and chips gives a cab character, shows that it was loved.

The monitor itself is 25" and weighs about 70 lbs. I think the cab without the monitor probably weighs at least 200-250 lbs, so it was definitely an exercise getting it upstairs...

Congratulations...Nice Cab.

Same Cab as I have also.
That baby is heavy..
I hurt my back bringing mine in my apartment.

I didn't realize how heavy it was.
I picked it up in an van.
I like the easy change Marquee door it's heavy in itself.

My Cab is my Baby.

I've had it over 6 months and I still clean it every day/wipe it down.

Best thing I ever bought.
Picture in Link below.

That's how it looked when first got it.
I fixed it up quite a bit now.
I painted all the small missing red spots.
And re-did the white side lettering.
It looks a lot better now than in the pictures.

I put in 2 new joysticks, and all new buttons and switches.

I also put a fan in the machine that keeps it cooler.

I like your shelves.
That's what I need.
Was it hard to put them in?
How about the cost?

I'm sure it is much happier being there than sitting in my garage.

You are a brave man to carry that thing over the nice hardwood floor.

Briggs is a great guy to deal with. Made buying my first arcade cabinet easy and painless. I drove up to meet him to buy the same exact cab a while back (a different one though of course).

Yours looks pretty nice. Better paint in some areas, but mine isn't missing as much red on the side (left). I too need to replace the molding on mine as well--something I plan on doing once I move in the near future. There's also some black stuff on the control panel near the bottom where your wrists rests while playing... well, that's wearing off down to the metal and it's sticky. :(

You out there Briggs? What is this stuff you put on my control panel? :p

Thats the cab to get , The big red one .

Not only do chips in the paint give it character , but 20 year old gum does too .

The power cable to mine is still sticky after all these years . You don't realize what hell cabs go through till you get one and notice all the things people do to them .

I have drove from Seattle to San Francisco to pick up my Candy Cab last year. It was easily more than a 14 hour drive each way.

I had to pull over at every other rest stop to get like 20 mins of nap time. I left Seattle around 8 PM or so and ended up getting my Cab the next day around 2PM......... I'll never do that again.

I did have a 4 day weekend though so I ended up staying in the bay area for a while. :)

Congrats on getting your cab!

Robert......

Here is a pic of my candy:

Ok, so I guess Robert has the record for longest drive in the name of MVS... sweet cab BTW. :)

I had thought about getting a Candy Cab (I'm sure it would have been much easier) but I grew up playing this exact type MVS cab in the arcades so that's what I wanted to get.

I've currently got LB2, NTM, Windjammers and SS in it at the moment (LB2 is my current favorite Neo game not named KoF).

Carrying it over the hardwood floor was the easy part, the hard part was getting it up a flight of 12 concrete stairs just because of the angle.

Oh, and for those that are wondering, most of the models in the one pic were actually made by my father so I can't take credit for them. wink

So do the cabs at arcade infinity come with a board? I've heard some say they don't and some say they do.
