English Kizuna home cart ranks as the rarest home cart for neo geo home system.

I have been in neo geo home cart market for years(many) and have been searching for that cart for years.
FACTS:
It was sold only in Austria/Germany,NOT in all euro countries
Only few copies were sold and 3 maybe 4 pieces are known in private collections.

It is 10 times rarer than metal slug 1 US,double dragon US or ANY other home cart, jap or US..EXCEPT for Ultimate 11 which ranks almost as high as Kizuna in rarity.

My informations were confirmed by experienced collectors like Shawn,Anthony,Big Bear and MANY others.

It IS a legit cart of course, only really rare.

All that said,be careful not to be burned with a fake Kizuna for $3000-4000 or even more.

Some members of the forums made offers like 4000Usd maybe one year ago, also i think 3000Usd will definitely not be the final bid.

If it is a legit cart..

Price will skyrocket!

Ah!!! Tell that to Codeman1 !!!

Wait a minute!! We're talkin now about collectible toys!!!

Let's not derail this very rare occasion to find out if this is the 2nd or 3rd real Kizuna out there!

Let's stay on topic buddies!

I'd say it's real. But I don't put my hands on fire tough. wink

I doubt that someone fully translated a Japanese Kizuna to English, and produced absolute identical SNK quality insert, manual and cart sticker over 4 years ago or more, just to sell a handful of copies, or even a dozen copies. Keep in mind that I bought my personal copy for roughly $500, I traded a converted Super Dodgeball home cart back in ’99 as even trade for US Kizuna. Where is the motivation in that? Such a venture does not even seem profitable.

However, now that the market value is in the thousands, it would be worthwhile to duplicate for secondary market resale. Which makes you think, if someone was making reproductions, wouldn’t they be selling “new” Euro Kizuna’s, or at least mint? As you all know, condition brings a premium for high end carts. I suppose the bootlegger could have roughed up the manual, cart, and cart sticker to make the appearance more realistic, anything is possible now, but it’s extremely unlikely that this reproduction took place 4 years ago is my point.

Even to this day, I have yet to see an SNK quality insert or manual successfully reproduced, or even an unreleased home cart successfully produced identical to SNK quality. NGF’s supposed legit English KoF 2000 is far from being considered SNK print quality or paper, and all of !Arcades! converted home carts are blatantly different print and paper quality from SNK productions.

The copy of Euro Kizuna that Wolfgang is offering appears to be in excellent overall condition. The picture looks real enough. I emailed the seller to begin communication but have not received a reply yet. Hopefully the buyer will answer my questions publicly to help reassure us of its authenticity.

Concerning the Euro Kizuna manual:
What is the line of text that is displayed at the top of page 28? Start with first word begging with “R” and end when you reach the first explanation point.

What is the last line of text on page 6?

Please post your answers in this <a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=010265" target="_blank">thread</a> for confirmation.

I think anyone paying more than $1000 for a Neo Geo cart is insane. Lock him up sheriff.

Airfare is pretty cheap these days. It almost makes sense to fly to his city and pick up the game in person considering the potential price of the game.

That's what I was thinking. If I had the money to seriously consider buying this cart, I would have no problem spending a couple extra hundred to ensure the cart is an original. And if turns out that it was a fake, I still wouldn't have a problem wasting the money on airfair, considering it would save me lots more on the cart.

Agreed.

Anyone willing to drop $5000 to $7000 or more for this, should also be willing to take a few days off from work and fly to meet him and pick it up in person.

I know I would.

EMS? Fuck no... I will pick it up myself.

I would suspect that the cart has been sold by now. Otherwise, the seller would have responded to its many inquiries.

AHHAH!!

Of course! If you even realize how much you would have to pay to the customs if the real value was declared in the EMS form...

It'll be obviously better to pick up the game in person ! The customs should take more profit on a 5000~7000 dollars package than the whole ticket for your flight!

That's the kind of mentality that ruined the NeoGeo...

If you're going to collect something just collect STAMPS. :p

I agree, somewhat. It is a bad time to collect Neo Geo games now... Honestly, the small collection of games in my sig, cost me alot of money, but ALOT less than it would have costed me if I buy them all today. In fact, I wouldn't. The highest paid cartridge in that collection is Twinkle Star Sprites (it is near mint), and I think I paid $450 for it (Highest I ever paid for a home cart).

Having said that, if I ever decide to sell my collection, I think I can get good $$ from it. But the thing is, I am NOT in this hobby to make money... If I quit this hobby, I rather have them go to a good home.
