Another Classic Bill Burger moment

Hello again folks its time for more bill burger fun!!

I finally got a mail from him regarding my package and its tracking number here's the reply

"once a box is sent there is no way to track your box, tracking # does not tell you where box is. you just have to wait. sent a letter in your country and ask them where letter is no one can answer for you. do not bid on my items in the future tahnks"

I sent him an im and then I lost my temper and just started swearing (a lot), good stuff cheeky bastard does he think i would EVER order stuff from him again after this hastle , he's also left me positive feedback which I find strangely amusing.

I'm just so angry so so so angry

what a total fucking knobhead! i suggest you leave him negative feedback asap, and demand a refund for the incorrect shipping method.

When did your auction end? You have 90 days to leave feedback so don't rush, wait a bit . . . I'm sure you're not far into the 90 days yet. Then you can carefully write up the exact feedback you need . . . even if the product does eventually arrive. smirk

How old is this guy? He acts like he's 7.

Did you purchase EMS (express mail service) shipping or registered mail? If so then you have the right to request a tracking number. Otherwise, he is correct.

Once I sent a game to a guy in the UK via surface mail. After it didn't arrive for a littl over a month, he mailed me DEMANDING a tracking number. EMS is expensive (especially if the origin is the USA), but it does cutout a lot of the drama.

I remember buying a couple MVS carts from him a year or so ago. I think he attached the mini marquee to the cart with duct tape. I thought I was going to have to use gasoline to remove the gummy stuff.

I guess what I'm saying is he hasn't changed.

I had a bad deal with that fucking jackhole over a Vampire Hunter B-board. He's a complete fucking unprofessional tool and NONE of this surprises me.

Wow this is completely trippy!! I hate to see anyone treated like this!! You know its funny some of these vendors think they are doing you a favor by taking your fucking money!!! But Bill Burger? I am going to talk to Bill personally and find out just what the deal here!!

I have done lots of business with Bill from cheap Neo carts to High dollar Arcade kits, Naomi systems, ect.

I just wonder if he has some asshole punk taking orders at the shop out there because I have never been treated like this.

I am absolutely shocked. If he has took a turn for the worst with his selling practices I want to know for sure because I always sent business his way and from what I am reading that sure could make an ass out of me!!!

The thing is I ASKED for the package to be sent by some registred means either by registered airmail or by EMS , I paid $25 for postage which I thought was too cheap to be ems, I assumed he had sent the package by airmail as i had asked.
Evidently he has shipped it by surface!! despite me asking him not to (i would have paid extra!!)but the most annoying thing is he won't even ADMIT to sending the package by surface or give any indication of what he used all I get is babble and waaa for some reason.

but I really think he was taking the piss asking me not to bid on his other auctions , I mean would you after this fun time I'm having!? arjhjhjh >bangs head off monitor<

I emailed him about our first transaction after I read negative things about him here in the forums.
(I was shocked and I got nervous)
I asked him if he shipped my 4 MVS carts and I was sort of demanding in the email.
His reply was "no,but I just received the payment and will ship the carts tomorrow".
Nothing nasty..Simple and professional but with bad spelling.

Well like I wrote before.
He shiped the the carts (packed well) and I got them in a few days.
They all had marquees/art kits in baggies.
Stuff not listed in the auctions.(no tape)
And A free jigsaw puzzle Computer game.

Today I got a real heavy package from him.
$24.00 to ship it and he only charged me $15.00

The package was really well packed with.
A Last Blade MVS cart..Marquee/art kit and a AOF 2 MVS cart.
Packed with 4 Arcade machine signs/large Marquees.
Large glass Marquee of Virtual Fighter..(mirrored)(it's mint)
Large plexy Marquee of Samuria Showdown II
(great condition)
Glass Marquee of Dig Dug
(Mint)
Marquee of VS Super Mario Bros.
It's Brand new with the sticky backing cover still on it.(never used).
Some real nice stuff,I'm impressed again.


I have 5 more signs/Marquees coming from him.
they are Super Sidekicks II large Marquee,Metal Slug 2,Neo Geo Cup 98 and a 2 slot Red Marquee.
I forgot about the VS Goonies Marquee.

I feel sort of bad that I have had good luck with him.
I'm waiting/hoping he lists some more carts.

It seems like he is/was cleaning house and is slowly selling everything until he has nothing else Arcade Machine related to sell.

I don't like buying overseas and I hardly do.
I wouldn't want these marquees to be shipped overseas.(too fragile)

Maybe I've just got lucky.
I do provide a Very easy to read list/pic of what I won with a pre-made shipping label.

I hope you get your package..

Enough for me to stay away from. As for people having good deals with him... that is like my and Aslan. Everyone here but me seems to have been ripped of by Aslan11, I can't recommend him, but at the same time he was always good to me... AH WHATEVER, I am glad I am just about done with my Neo Geo collection, it is just so much BS sometimes,

I guess theres not much I can do but sit back and wait I think I've gathered that I wont get my stuff anytime soon, but I just wish he'd tell me if it was surface or economy airmail.


The other thing is that I lost my hard disk at the time of the auctions so I lost a lot of details although I used a friends pc to pay for the auction , however I was also buying a few shockboxes from Big Bear he gave me the complete opposite of Bill (depsite me losing the details of the sale and taking a few more WEEKS to pay), brilliant service and remarkably speedy delivery.

Anyway I'll shoot for the sympathy vote anybody want to sell me a motw cart wink

I believe that Bill Burger could send a Bootleg game,it's possible but I don't think he would know the difference.
I open up the carts as soon as I get them.
They all have original labels,chips and not even any eproms.
The way I figure is that he has/had a pile of games of the same name.like KOF 94

10 or more in a stack.
All in the bubble wrap,taped.
Some having the Marquees/art and some not.

Some could be Boots.
So as he packs for an order you get the cart that on the top of the pile.
You may get lucky and get a full kit without the cardboard box.
Or half of even a Boot or non working cart.

Every cart he has sent me was in it's bubble wrap by itself like he never opened to test it.
Even when he ships several carts in one box.
they are individualy wrapped.
This would explain for duct tape.
I don't think he ever checks the carts.
He may get them in lots and just list them.
They always seem to be dusty like he just pulled the wrapped cart off a shelf.
The 6 MVS carts I got from him are all original in good condition.

I was surprised because he would have the same cart listed several times.
Like Aslan does.

I've really saved some money buying carts from him.
But honestly I've never feel content buying from him.

Hey frazermoss, I'm sorry to hear you're getting screwed by Bill Burger. I have done a couple of deals with him (for home carts and a boxed Hyper64 rig) and I never had any issues. He was actually willing to accomodate me when I got laid off and took almost a month to pay him. It's funny though because a lot of other members here have posted horror stories about him. I agree that either he has some little brat kid working for him who has been speaking in his name or he just has unpredictable mood swings. I would post scathing feedback about him for sure and report him to eBay if necessary (for all the good that'll do.) Whatever the reason for this situation, he'd better learn to change it fast or he'll lose a lot of customers in this scene. I'll tell you now that after hearing your story and several others here, I won't risk buying from him again.

Bill burger is a dick... I have purchased MVS from him with no prolblem aside from the fact they were dirty and left in the sun for years. Then I buy a Die hard marquee and sticker from him and pay like 7.00 shipping plus a bidpay.com money order fee for like another 5$ the same day of auction end. I get a priority box and inside is a Sunfaded marque that is craked to shit cuz he folded a brittle old marquee in half and stuffed it in. This marquee was not the one shown so I asked for a refund and bill said ok... Couple days later I get some shit from ebay saying something like- the auction was cancled and that we both agree to cancel it? I figure whatever cuz he already should have sent me a MO refund. Months later no refund. Fuck Bill and his dirty MVS carts, crap service and craked marquee due to poor packing blow_top all that for a 15$

I have posted many times about the busted Hyper 64 board I bought from him that he said was BRAND NEW . besides totally refusing to replace the unit or refund the money he had also charged me nearly 20$ for shipping and had the gall to ship the board BOOK RATE and only cost him 7$...(( wich is illegal by the way )) because it wasnt fucking books .
