Is it just me, or does it seem that there are fewer postings on the forum? Lots of great items for sale, but not much demand????

Just casual observations, nothing scientific.

Hope it is just me, and not an indicater of any future trends.

Anyway, I still love the Neo.

Well to be brutally honest, unless you're a true die-hard in the first place most see this hobby of Neo collecting (especially NGH) to be ridiculous due to it's prices and not being next gen hardware. All of my friends and former co-workers gawk/love my Neo (I keep to myself mostly but when I do hang with them)... but then they talk shit l get the wind of later on, something like: "Man he's got a bitchin' system, the games are actually cool, but he pays $300 for new stuff! Shit I could get me a new system etc, etc."

Thus in this hobby, with most of us growing up (I'm 25 as of this Sunday) sometimes you need to move on. I made the mistake of selling two previous NGH systems, two Neo CDs and one CDZ before during my bipolar fits of "For I know not what I do"... but I won't sell it this time around, however, there are weeks on end into months were I won't play my NEO or any game system. Just part of living a regular life, no matte how much I might front about bullshit from time to time. I sure hope this scene here doesn't die, but I don't see about 3/4 of the ppl I used to chat with in here when I first came to the Ng.Com community as Storm Rider. So I guess as long as we keep coming in to chat, trade secrets, and of course the drama... everything's cool and the gang. I just wish someone would sell their Metal Slug NGH (hell even a conversion) at under $1,000 smack a roos for once.

Wasn't there just a thread about this recently? I think Bobak answered it "no".

Something about it being spring break.

Then when college finals roll around...

Then when high schoolers go on summer vacation.

hmmn.

Reminds me. The Sonic kids should be graduating.

Well only 4 weeks ago , the war room was on fire.
The politics of this board were at an all time high. The playmore court cases were big news ,and anticipation for the 2 new games (SNK V CAP, MAtrimilee) is also still high.

In short the neo scene is alive and kicking. This board is what made it so,

Its also a fact that some people just read rather than post.

well.. sometimes it seems that with a limited # of games.. that the conversations seem to get repetitive ... especially with neo games. My Interest is as much there as ever.

Just nothing new to talk about that I haven't already said.. or that I haven't said to the same people reading my post, you know?

Instead of TALKING about the games, people need to make a better effort in actually playing them with other PEOPLE. I'm sure that if there were more Neo get togethers & people actaully WENT, this topic wouldn't even be here. But, as always, people can come up with a zillion excuses on why they can't attend a get together.

Appreciate the feedback....

My intention here was just a casual observation. Not my thoughts on the matter, or some deep insight as to the trends of the ebb and flow of the universe.

The Neo is a great hobby. The Gang Bang did open my eyes to more games I want to obtain in some manner. (Lie, cheat, steal loco loco )

I have just noticed a drop in postings, and you guys are probably right, it is due to the reduction in drama related to the Neo scene.

Perhaps some of the drama queens have moved to the other site???

Dont get me wrong, I was just wondering if it was some strange notion I had, or if others noticed a drop as well. It appears that I am totally off. Maybe it is that time of the month????? eek_2 eek_2

Maybe a good gauge of neo interest is looking at the member numbers of each person posting.

I believe that Neo popularity will peak every time a new game comes out, then decrease to a certain plateau level. The average value of this peak/plateau theory will additionally rise and fall.

Conclusively I don't feel NEO popularity has decreased in the last year all that much.

I also feel that most NEO games were designed with 2 players in mind, thusly it lends to reason that having a "neo party" is great fun. I've had friends over before just playing SS tournaments. Its great fun!
