Puzzle De Pon Decisions

So what's the difference between the Puzzle De Pon and Puzzle De Pon R. I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy a copy of Puzzle De Pon R.

Let me know if it is anything really distiguisable, like say, the differences of Puzzle Bobble 1 (arcade, SNES, 3D0 and Puzzle Bobble 4 (Taito F3, DC).

I have the Puzzle-de-Pon cart and have played the R version on emu, cant really see any difference, not much point having both unless your a collector.
the first one was released in 95 and the R version in 97.
