I truely believe so....
99 is the second best.

For odd reason that I feel 2K1 insert looks like picture on the cover of KOF2K manual.......

At least the drawing style is the same, very retro. Reminds me of illustrations I saw in some Reader's Digest books back in the 70s. :)

My only gripe with the insert is K'. 99... 2k... 2k1... it's getting old.

I like K', so the insert's not an issue for me. 2K's horizontal insert is my fave from the KOF series, by the by. Then '94.

97 wins the KOF insert contest for it's the only one to feature Iori. (runner up-'00)

Spine goes to 2001 (runner up-'99)

Back cover goes to '99 (runner up-''97)

Best insert....KOF96 by far....then 99.
maybe cause my favorite q is Kyo, that's why 99 is my favorite of them all, there's like 20 kyo's there..... :D

Chris, when I say 'featured', I mean the most prominent character. While Iori is on the '98 insert, he's in the background. Whereas in '97, he's the only one in the front.

Let me be the one to agree too that 2k1 insert is the best.
Second spot definitely goes to 2k.

I think the KoF logo is the best on 2k1, but the best insert award goes to '97. I like how Blue Mary is featured on it. :D

97 and 98 are the best two, but 2001's picture of k is badass. Best spine is still KOF96.

KOF '96 is the best, that red background is just too classy.

I kinda dig the '94 insert too, but If it weren't for that horrific spine KOF2k1 would be an easy second place. That picture of K is way cool and the rest of the art is nice as well.

Now about that spine...

...I`ll disagree, The best KoF insert was\is the (Japanese) 1998 "Pool Party". Very experimental for a fighting game...
