Question for you all. Who currently holds the intellectual properties and copyrights of the old SNK. More specifically, who owns the Neo Geo startup sound. I would like to use that sound in an upcoming project, and I would like to know who currently (if anyone) holds the rights to that sequence of notes! If anyone here has contacts and info about this it would be greatly appreciated... I guess I will try to gun down the obvious choices (such as Eolith and Brezza). Thanks guys,

Unless your going to be using your project for profit and to make money, you don't need to contact anyone. Just use it, it's free promotion for them.

I have no idea who owns them though, it's someone, because copyrights are good for around 75 years.

yeah its for profit... thats the problem. For audio the copyright is only around 20 years, however, if SNK is desolved completly and no one cares, then they are less likely to exercise the rights to use the copyright laws... hmmm, I guess I should just write playmore/eolith/brezza and see if anyone there knows.

Well since MVS games are still getting made, the SNK NEOGEO Korea probably owns all the rights.

So there is still a SNK in Korea... I didn't know that... You wouldn't happen to have contact information, a web page, email address, anything would you Drift?

Thanks everyone for the help... now I need to try and track down someone at Playmore/SNK Korea... By the way, I just ripped the sample off a 4 slot via the headphone jack, man it is a sweet sound... always makes me happy when I hear it :)
