Does anyone here own a Phantom-1 Converter?

I'm thinking about switching to MVS with the use of Arcade's Phantom-1 Converter, but I haven't seen one single review for it? If anyone here owns one, could you please post your opinions? I know that in order to use the converter on an AES you need to have the slots tightened, but is this the only formality? Do the games play like their AES counterparts in which you can change the dip settings if you have a debug bios chip installed? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The phantom 1 (my version is black) holds the MVS carts just a bit too tight for my liking making it really tough (not to mention a hastle) to switch games. Still, with the price gap between mvs and aes being quite wide in the case of games like metal slug, blazing star, magical drop, et. al. it is a worthwhile investment.

The phantom 1 will play your mvs carts just like the home carts debug and all.

Thanks for the response Carlson! By the way, I've noticed that most MVS collectors keep their carts in great looking snap-lock like cases with front and back inserts; where can I get these?

Big Bear sells em. You might try sending him an e-mail or private message.

I second that, in fact some of the plastic on the edge of the MVS connector on my converter has broken off, and I haven't used it all that much...

Get one, its a very good product as it allow you to play every single MVS game out there, even the protected carts like striker 1945 plus.
It will play exactly like a AES cart, you can set the debug chip and MVS/home setting.
I dont have any problem regarding tight slots as I make a AES case to house the converter, its really helps.
Hopes that answer your questions.
