Just curious as I've noticed this on a few games.

KoF '95 and Samurai Shodown IV especially, though also with Fatal Fury 3* and Waku Waku 7, I have never seen the big clear new game sealing sticker, only these small, round, colourful NG logo ones, as seen here: http://www.geocities.com/intergalacticpirate/SamuraiIV/ssIV-3.jpg

*I have actually seen FF3 with the sticker on the inside..

Was this another of SNK's inconsistencies, or?? Know any more titles this applies to? I, for example, have had 7 copies of Pulstar, and seen others, yet never seen one with the sealing sticker. I suppose it's also difficult to know for sure, with even people in Japan swapping boxes, but I'm bored as fuck and felt like asking.

I think the tiny stickers were meant for snap-lock games, although I have no idea on which game they were introduced (KoF '95 is the earliest example I've seen) nor do I know when SNK stopped using them (KoF '98 being the latest game).

I guess SNK continued using the large seals until they ran out and then switched over to the new type 'small' stickers.

I'm pretty certain that late SNK releases such as Garou, KoF 2000, and Metal Slug 3 never had a sticker applied, so I reckon they stopped using them around '98.

I've got a sheet of unused sealing stickers (new type), for me to seal all my snap-locks up with loco :p

As for me this ios an interesting issue.

It's very odd indeed, but there's no consistency at all in the use of the wo different kind of seals on the NG carts.

I agree with Jon than KOF95 and SS4 are more likely the two titles sealed with the smaller type.

Tet, SS3 and KOF96 rwere sealed with the bigger type. annoyed

It's more likely a total mess. MOst pronbaly big hits has more the just one production run (hence the fact that some titels may have or not the gold warning sticker), and I would say it's very probablable the 'sealing' of the carts may have been affected by that as well...

jon, I don't think these stickers were made by snk for sealing home carts as they realy don't do A great job of that (which I tried) so they don't serve much purpose.

I have found that most of the Waku Waku 7s I came across (with the exception of the one I bought from Nikke way back when) did have the small sealing sticker on the bottom of the case.

Same with Breakers and Ultimate 11.

Truth also is 'small stickers' sometimes pops up in the form of full brand new sheets on the Japanese market.

Maybe those were distributed to stores/retailers for them to directly attach on the carts?

God knows.

This is SNK after all... and 'production' and 'consistency' just make and oximor.
