Samurai Shodown vs. Last Blade........THE GAME!!!

Well, I figured that if we are never see SamSho V or Last Blade 3, then why the hell not a vs. game!?!?!? Just like one huge 900 meg. monster of a game!?!? Surely I think that Playmore or whoever could see the potential profits that could be made from this game. (i write this last sentence because we all know that is all they care about)

We get KoF every year, so why not satisfy the weapons fighter fans with this game?? Granted, a SamSho V & LB3 would be sweeeeeet, but if we can't have both then why not a kick ass vs. type of game??? (or a least add SamSho & LB characters in the next KoF installment!!)

That would be very nice. I mean no offence, but the KOF series wasn't that awesome to start out with and SS seemed to have a lot more potential. That would be so sweet to see a new Samurai Showdown vs. Last Blade game.

Although I hope they would keep the charcter sprites intact. Do we all remeber what Homaru looked like in Capcom vs. SNK?? He looked pretty bad compared to his greatness in SS3 and SS4. It seems when we get vs. games they always cut down on frames of animation and detail. I would hope they pump it up like GG

Okay, maybe this one time.

Well I've always preferred weapon combat ala SS or LB over uh fist to fist or what have you, just more interesting. But I've always wondered why they couldn't put the SS and LB games together in a game just like the FF and AOF games made KOF. I don't recommend putting SS and LB charas in KOF though, it would just be off, just like I've always thought that the Marvel vs. Capcom games seemed somehow odd fighting comic book characters against charas you normally see in fighters like Street Fighter. Or Mega Man v. Ryu I mean what the hell is that?

Plus I just looked and this is my 50th post and I'm a member now so now I can get an avatar woohoo

KOF = recycle = less money = takes less time

SS vs LB = making completely new game = more money = takes more time

still the time difference between the SS and LB will be a problem (no story)

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing a game like this. Something called "Master of the Blade" or something. It would definitely be a nice samurai dreammatch due to SS and LB time periods.

Man Samauri Showdown vs Last Blade would be simply fantastic, If they made it I wouldent get to play it unless they released it on Neo CD which is very unlikely. But man I belive that would be a great seller if released.

Good point, but look how SamSho I & II went to III & IV. There are also subtle changes between LB1 & LB2. SO, I think, in the right hands it could be pulled off. But, wtf, why not give us SamSho V & LB 3 & we wouldn't even be having this thread drool_2 loco buttrock buttrock

They would have to nix the SS engine and stick with the intense LB gameplay and meet somewhere right in the middle on the sprites and BG's.

Okay first of all hi. Second, to squash a few things off the bat. Fighters never really had any great stories to begin with. I'm not saying that all do but most don't. Besides, with any new game that developers make they do their best to make a story that puts everything together, regardless of how straightforward it may be.

In the case of SNK vs. Capcom (especially the second one ), they did something that no one thought they would do. Took two different fighting styles of game play, from two different companies, and created (in my opinion now...) one of the best crossover games to date! buttrock So, I feel that the argument about a story line is null and void. They could create a story line that would put both universes together.

As far as time and money is concerned, what game being made doesn't take time and money!?! spock I mean c'mon, just because the KoF series is their bread and butter, doesn't mean they shouldn't make any new games! If that were the case, why did they take the time to bring out Rage of the Dragons or this new game Power Instinct? Me personally, I wouldn't necessarily consider them one of SNK's tried and true games like KoF, SamSho, or Metal Slug series. So why on earth would they take their precious time and money to make them?

As far as not being a good idea to cross over two of THE best 2-D weapons fighters in history, my personal question to that is, "Why the !$@&# NOT"! very_ang Hell, if they can put two of the best damn 2-D fist fighters together and be successful, what makes you think it wouldn't work for LB and SamSho?!? (Note: the same company makes both games.) Not trying to talk down anyone's opinion or anything, but either some of you don't want it to happen or you don't have any vision of the possibilities! shame Ever since playing Capcom vs. SNK 1 & 2, I have learned how great it is playing with SNK character's. Not that I was completely ignorant of the series or anything, but I never played it as much as Street Fighter.

I honestly hope that Playmore will do something about these two great games. We've got MS 3 & 4 and talking about #5 (JOY! multi_co ); the KoF series is going to be around until the end of time; and Rage of the Dragons looks like it's the start of a new on going series. So, if they don't want to make a crossover game, that's fine by me, just make sure you come out with a SamSho 5 and a Last Blade 3 and continue them like your other games. They really should look into this one way or another, because both games deserve it and we as gamers deserve it as well. *getting off soap box now*

I think it could be fantastic in the right hands - but although I'm starting to have more respect for Playmore etc they still haven't proven that they REALLY have what it takes yet imho.

I'd love to see Playmore prove us all wrong, and I still have high hopes for SNK Vs Capcom... let's hope they don't disappoint!

btw. if you would like some constructive critisim on your

kinda gets on my nerves. i almost feel like i m playing
the NEO cd version of Last blade 2

I'd rather just have Samurai Shodown 7, which takes place right after the Asura Zanmaden chapter (but well before the Riten Kyo chapter).

Last Blade is great and all, but I'll go with my heart when it comes to neo geo games. and my heart belongs to SS.

Personally I hope Playmore go nowhere near either Last Blade or samurai spirits series because they'd just fuck it up something horrible.

If SNK were still around I'd love to see an SS5 of LB 3, but definitly not now.

We should treasure what we've got with those games, and be thankful SNK made them master pieces.

I'd rather see the Metal Slug vs Blues Journey.
