Ok, here's a question for you MVS people out there: What do you think of Cosmico? I"ve heard they sell only bootlegs, its this true?
I gotta email them but I think someone here said that they have a email list where they'll send you a price list for MVS games every so often, is this true? I'd appreciate any info you guys have on them (reliable, fast shipping, etc.).

Peace

I bought Metal Slug and Metal Slug 2 from them. They were alright (Cosmicco), nothing spectacular, considering you pay for shipping from Hong Kong. When the games showed up, Metal Slug looked like it was left in a dirt storm (I popped it open and the internals were COVERED in dirt). Must've left it sitting outside or something. Cleaning it did wonders. Metal Slug 2 needed to be cleaned as well, just not as bad.

If you email them, ask for their current price list. Anything with a * by it is a bootleg (they also carry JAMMA boards and non-JAMMA boards). Supposedly everything else is the real deal. Both of my carts are 100% original, just the way I wanted it. If you have a particular game you want, tell them so in the email and ask if the game is a boot leg. They were really up front when I asked them if either of the 2 I wanted were boots.

Also keep in mind they only wanna deal in CASH. You'll have to use Western Union or a Money Wire transfer from your bank. The money wire transfer costs like $30 from my bank, and the Western Union transfer OnLy cost $18. I went the Western Union route. So I bought Metal Slug for $37, MS 2 for $65, paid $18 for the WU transfer and another $18 for s/h. For about the same price, I could have gotten them from MD Gamesales and been dealing with some one here in the States (and non bootlegs as well).

If they have what you want, and it's not a boot (if you care anyway), and you can't seem to find it anywhere else cheaper (remember the s/h and money transfer!!), then go for it. Otherwise deal with a reputable company/person near where you are.

The shipping was fast, the box showed up 3-4 days after they shipped it (I live in Maryland). They are relatively friendly, but rather blunt since their English skills aren't exactly the greatest.

They made a good deal, and I would do business with them again if MD Gamesales or a reputable user doesn't have what I am looking for.

They are about 50/50 on bootlegs. Just to be safe, always contact them and ask if the copy they are sending you is a bootleg or not. They have revoloving stock and are always getting in new stuff/selling off stuff. So the * is not always a safe bet. Anyway, they are good, ship fast, but the shipping and wire transfer fees are horrid. I usually only do big orders from them, thats why I haven't bought anything from them in a while, I only pick up one cart here and there.

Anyway, they are safe to buy from, will ship out the game EMS (which is like 2 days to Los Angeles!!!!) and are very curteous and helpful in their emails... just be careful with the boots, let them know you only want originals and they will deliver just that.

My friend orders from them sometimes. He got a brand new KOF2K kit a little over a year ago and it was great. Since then he has ordered many games but the only ones that were boots were Super Dodgeball and KOF98 (which had an odd sound problem, no words, only yells). Other than that, the other 6 or so games were in pretty good condition. They did tell him that the 2 boots were infact bootlegs before he ordered them. They all did need cleaned though (except 2K b/c it was new).

I have ordered stuff from them before. Most new games are in kit version, but you have to mail them and ask for 'full artwork boxed kit'. Sometimes they also have artwork with older games. I made a 10-cart deal with them once, everything went great, but a buddy of mine set up the western union transfer. According to him it wasn't much of a hassle, and the EMS shipping went pretty good, about 10 days to europe.

And yes, just ask if it's a bootleg or original cart before you order & transfer the money. 'Queenie' always answers my mail very nicely and not too much broken engrish.. I can recommend them, they sell originals with the usual bootleg on the side. Also, i think MDgamesales gets most of thier stuff from them. Notice the tag on the side of your mdgamesales cart? That tag is also on my carts as well as on the cps-2 games that came from cosmicco.

Currently, you can't go wrong with cosmicco, they are offering MS3 @ $150 full kit with all artwork!!@! (no bootleg!)
