I will have a converted Pulstar in my possession within a few weeks. It looks basically like this: The cartridge has some light scratches on it - mostly in the middle. They aren't too noticable unless you hold it up to the light. The box has wrinkled plastic toward the front on the new style case. There is a small crack in the case where the front part of the case connects to the lower part. You wouldn't see it unless you looked because it is beneath the insert. Some scuffs here and there on the plastic. The manual is an original Neo Geo CD (English) version. The edge of the manual is slightly worn. I ended up paying (parts and conversion fees) around $225 ($20 for the manual alone). Did I pay the right amount for this? Also, If I ever were to trade it in would it be worth as much as I paid for it? Thanks for your time.

It's a tough call. Some people would say a conversion is worthless, others would actually see the intrinsic value of the game and worksmanship and evaluately it thusly. The fact you have the english pulstar manual makes it more attractive, but still Pulstar isn't so uncommon - we'll see one once every month or two at least. I think that the amount of people that can appreciate the game is dropping. It happens with every game, but when you consider it, it affects the demand, and in turn the price.

In a nutshell, why would you want to see the game? Or are you trying to evaluate your collection? Conversions are not really collectable.

I was just trying to see what my collection was worth. If I ever got tired of it I was wondering if I could trade it for Metal Slug 3 or Samurai Shodown 4. Conversions aren't cheap to do. The originals are far more expensive and hard to come by sometimes. Maybe someone would rather pay $250 instead of $600 for the real thing. Also, by my description of the item, what would you rate the condition of the item. It sounds like 7/10 to me. That is my 2 cents.
