all that follows is true....

ive been recently thinking a lot about gettin an aes coz i really want real bout2 at home... so ive been wandering around the electronics district of osaka quite often recently and here are some things i noticed with surprise:

- found a shop with 5 or so brand new sam spirits
for 500 yen each.
- many shops with fatal fury 2, ffspc and sam
spirits 2 all 2nd hand and seemingly good
condition for 500 each...
- i think but am not sure they had some 500 yen
art of fighting and maybe aof2 carts.

are these prices as good as they seem?

500 Yen, about $4.24. That's a steal. SS1, FF2/FFS are common as hell, but anyway, $5 for these games is more than a good price.

Holy crap. Common games or no, less than $5 is a total steal. If you are looking to start a home cart collection, you can't go wrong at $5 a pop for the bedrock games on which all later Neo titles were built.

hey chosen one apart from these games most others seem to be comparable in price to what i see at neostore and other places.... breakers revenge, kizuna encounter, waku waku 7 and the like are all very expensive.. in the 50,000+ yen range... metal slug 1 is like 120,000 yen...

I remember that a friend have been to japan to visit the country and to find neo carts. He was dissapointed because he didn't find many stores with neo games and when he found one, the cart prices were quite the same that in europe.
He must have missed the stores you are talking about.

Yeah, I got my SS1 for 700 yen I think it was. Thrash Rally was also somewhere along the lines of 500 yen. These were from the same used video game store in Koriyama. The place closed down a few years ago... too bad.

Sapporo, maybe? If it's Sapporo, it's the biggest city north of Tokyo...
