ok,
by now you lot should know about this magazine
a japanese magazine
and it's about arcade centers, games and players

<a href="http://www.arcadiamagazine.com/" target="_blank">arcadia</a>

ok,the cool thing is that they just organized a couple tournaments

but not shitty shallow tournaments like that fireball one

oh no

we're talking about the best fighting games out there, played by the best players in the world

and the mad thing is:

they are releasing a dvd for each and every game

so we can see the whole tourney

personally,i CAN NOT WAIT to see the ssfx one...

<a href="http://www.tougeki.com/" target="_blank">index</a>

another interesting fact:
for those of you who bought the all about snk dvd
at the end of disc 1 there is that pathetic korea vs japan match at 2001
i say pathetic because the korean player is quite good
while the japanese one has to be the worst kof player i have ever seen
and he's JAPANESE,DAMNIT!!!
plus,he's like 11 for fucks sake !!
well,
that korean guy took part in the kof 2002 torunament
and almost won,he lost in the end and arrived 2nd
the japanese guy who won was using clark, shermie and leona if i remember well so congratulations to him
shermie and clark suck big time in 2002

anyway,
feel free to comment and add your bit to this thread

it's a great topic

about time i suppose

Woah... cool stuff there! Now that's a great idea, releasing tournament DVDs!

Can't wait to grab 'em to see the pros play the games. Damn, makes me want to learn Japanese even more... Babelfish seems not to work with tougeki.com, I wanted to check out the KoF2k2 and SF2X links.

Guess the DVDs have to be ordered directly off of Arcadia, but I'm not sure about that. Any more info on that?

personally,
i'm buying the ssfx - sf3 ts

and maybe the 2002 dvds

off a local shop here

charlie or that other guy...whats his name...

dash no chris,yeah?

he seems to be into these kinds of things big time

he's all for the STORIES behind a game,a character and all that

they might be able to translate what its written on that page and tell you more

man,a SSFX japanese tournament...in the year 2003

when you think that there were players pulling off infinites and mad combos at 2002,
on the FIRST day of the beta test...

you can only wonder about what you might see in a versus match of a game that came out YEARS ago...

Both players are so good. Korean won last year, Japanese won this year. Well, it's held in JP, that Japanese DJ is annoying me.

Hope this link can work for you.

Perhaps a more indirect link might work? Here:

wow, welcome to last week guys. super battle opera has been raging for ages now

<a href="http://www.shoryuken.com" target="_blank">www.shoryuken.com</a> (results on the first page)

also, tournament dvds are nothing new. hell, you can get the evolution 2002 dvd and a bunch of others off shoryuken.

but, super battle opera is great. best players in america fought to see who would be on top, then they went to japan.

wooooooo

Tournament DVDs, I want the SSFX and VF ones for sure. Arcadia is a great magazine, I haven't bought it for a long time though....
I better start picking it up again.

it wasnt a bad attitude, no harm was intended. I dont see how im offending people by saying "welcome to last week". also, I dont see how it is bad to refer people to srk with super battle opera information when it is one of the only sites to cover it closely. no harm intended people.

why do people here hate srk, outside of the fact that its a capcom centered site?
