I live in, what we call in Ontario, the golden shower.....err....ah.......horseshoe (Niagara Falls to Toronto).
Every now and again, a friend and myself go on a retro-gamming odyssey, we rip the 'amusement' section out of the phone book, grab a map, and start hitting all the video game stores for what's new / old/ interesting.
Recently we got the notion that what was really missing in our lives was something from Neo Geo.
This is where the laughing comes in; almost every store we went in, to which we ask about Neo Geo.......yep, you guessed it, laughing!
WTF...if you owned a 'specialty' store, do you think it would be a good idea to laugh at your customer?
I ended up getting a brand new NGPC from the great USofA, and I have a slightly used NGPC hopefully being mailed to me from someone local.
My question would be to other Canadians; Do you have any problems or issues finding games in your area?
I will buy from the States, no big deal, it's our crappy dollar, duty fees, and shipping fees that are the bitch.
