I live in, what we call in Ontario, the golden shower.....err....ah.......horseshoe (Niagara Falls to Toronto).

Every now and again, a friend and myself go on a retro-gamming odyssey, we rip the 'amusement' section out of the phone book, grab a map, and start hitting all the video game stores for what's new / old/ interesting.

Recently we got the notion that what was really missing in our lives was something from Neo Geo.

This is where the laughing comes in; almost every store we went in, to which we ask about Neo Geo.......yep, you guessed it, laughing!

WTF...if you owned a 'specialty' store, do you think it would be a good idea to laugh at your customer?

I ended up getting a brand new NGPC from the great USofA, and I have a slightly used NGPC hopefully being mailed to me from someone local.

My question would be to other Canadians; Do you have any problems or issues finding games in your area?

I will buy from the States, no big deal, it's our crappy dollar, duty fees, and shipping fees that are the bitch.

Probably because investing in such expensive games would cost too much ?

And you would need at least some decent knowledge about the ongoing prises before you could make some profit selling them.

And besides all that, neo games are rare and hard to come by. Since these stores normally operate in smaller regions, I doubt a lot of them games would come by..

I got the same experience a few years ago at EB. They laughed at me! Of course a few years later, they were stocking NGPC. Eat it, bitches! buttrock

But nothing will ever top the Radio Shack guy, who remarked on my Neo Geo: "You're still using that?! I threw mine (with games) away! oh_no

There is one of those retro game stores in the mall by my parents house in FL. They have stacks and stacks of new Atari 2600 carts, Geni, NES, SNES, and etc. Even a lot of NEC stuff. I asked them about Neo Geo stuff and they said they didn't have it, but that if anything ever came in there would probably be a brawl in the back room as the employees killed each other for it buttrock

So... I guess it just depends on whether or not they have retro gamers working there,

Arcade 14:
are you talking about Game switch in the lakeland mall?
No, it is in the Countryside Mall, which is now called something else. I wish I remembered the name of the store! It is downstairs right next to JC Pennys... that is all I know, hehe... But I am sure I could find out,
