Briggs, I just got done reading your excellent write up in the J-Stik by Sanwa on your Hard MVS page. I have always been interested in getting sticks like these for my 4 slot, but was never quite sure they would install comfortably. In looking at the housings for the sticks, I am still not sure.

Do those sticks fit ok in a dedicated, MVS 4 slot cab? I would think so but wanted to be certain before ordering. Also, with the restrictor plate, it looks like the stick movement is square, just like that of the Home Neo sticks. Man, if that's true, I am totally sold. I can't stand the amorphous circle of US sticks. Too much room for error.

Anyway, I just keep coming back to your site. It's the best resource I know of for MVS info.

FYI, it's only the Happ Supers that have a round movement: the Ultimates and Competitions do have the square movement you like better.

I just mounted my J-Stiks into my Mini Capcom cab, I don't think they will mount very easily into a US cab, the alignment would be way off of the normal stick mount. Actually, I had to buy these because the Happ Competions would not mount in my mini, the Sanwa sticks are perfect.... I can try and mount them into my US cab and see if they fit though...

I think the mounting plates will requre some re-drilling to fit right, but I think it would be pretty easy to do. It looks like there are 4 screws holding the plate on, so remove those and put in a couple new screws.

I'll check on it and get back in a few.

They fit fine.

I'm updating the joystick page with some new pictures you will probably find interesting. I'll post up when it is ready.

It's all updated. Hope it helps.

To recap:

Yes, they fit in a US cab

No, they *might* not fit in a Jap cab as the plate size has increased due to adding the US mounting holes.

Yes, the movement is square(ish) in both 4 and 8 way modes.
