honestly, what is better for me to purchase, a red 25in 4 slot neo cab, or a japaneese 29in (i think thats what it is) 4 slot neo candy?

Also, what's the difference between a super neo candy, and a neo candy?

IIRC you can´t turn the monitor of the 29" cab. The red one´s monitor is able to be turned so you can play vertical shooters on it for example, while using a arcade PCB like 1943 or else...

If you only want to play your MVS in it, you also can buy a 29".

None of the US Red cabs have rotatable monitors. The big differences are:

Japanes cabs: Sit down to play, rotatable monitors - made of metal & plastic.

US cabs: Stand up to play, Horizontal only - made of wood.

some prefer the japanese 25's over the 29's because the sprites are less pixelated. so i say go for the 25 jap.

costs less too

I have a 29" jap, and after getting used to it, I wouldn't want anything smaller. I play on the 25" American cabs at my local arcade, and I've really come to prefer my Candy. I can sit in a comfortable chair, or a mini-stool and really relax into a game. When you have a machine at home, you're going to spend hours in front of it. Sometimes standing, and using a stool all the time can get pretty uncomfortable.

I'm the opposite - sitting down to play a game is uncomfortable. I would much rather stand to play.

Please take into account that I suck bad enough at all games that there is no way I would get tired standing up.

I don't have a cab, but am looking at this same problem as I want one, and I've been thinking a candy just wouldn't have that arcade feel to cause your sitting down.

It really just comes down to personal preference.

Would you rather sit down or stand up while you play your games?

Me, I'd rather stand.

That's why my first cab was a standard 4-Slot US one, but I know at one point later on I'll end up buying a sit down candy cab as well, because I dig the look.

I prefer stand because I'm tall (1.91m) and I'm not confortable on sit down cab.

I sometimes play my neo 25' red standing up. I dont mind it a bit. I enjoy, personally, the original, american big cabs. They have the "feel and look" of the Neo Geo name. They may take up a lot of space, but there pretty, classic look, and u can choose to sit or stand when u play. Go old school baby!
