It's quite sad how people all of a sudden realize they need a title when stock is over.

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3013516720&category=4315" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3013516720&category=4315</a>

Just like it was for Metal slug X US home cart.

Something to think about for sure, especially for next releases.

Quite sad for a crap game. not that crap coz' it still have a superb mastered soundtrack, but the game just reeks compared to other SNK Masterpieces.

It's just a non-SNK game. it isn't worth that much.

I don't know, I enjoyed ROTD. Would it be worth paying $400 for? Nope. Anyone that does is probably boarderline retarded. For $400 you could have yourself the Phantom-1 and a copy of the MVS Rage. Actually, you'd probably end up saving a few bucks going that route... I can't justify spending over $100 for a game, so I guess I'll never be in NGH elite category. Fine by me, I still get to enjoy the games and can save money for more games as well.

What's really fucked up is this:

NCS is still selling US copies for $325. So who in the fuck would pay $400+?

The fact is that the game was available at neo store for months at retail price of$325!

It doesn't matter if you like the game or not,it is juts plain weird thing what usually happens.

Back in the days when SNK USA had a lot of copies of metal Slug X US home carts NONE wanted them.
NO ONE;even at discounted price.
Then, when they finally sold out, that cart started raising in price.

Here we go same way with RotD home cart

This was in fact the final copy of a new never played US RotD home cart in the Neo Store. The “buy it now” price was set to $325, but the first bid ended up being $299 so the “buy it now” option was removed by ebay. This final copy does of course come with new/sealed RotD t-shirt, and poster/flyer.

Well Simone, it is a fact from a collector’s standpoint, “If everyone can have one, on one wants one.” Once the supply dries up people are more likely to want one.

What kind of sig is that? Someone get rid of it, I don't want that on my monitor or in my log at work.

Pretty funny auction, this is a sign that the price for this game will increase.

Btw, I agree about Jeff's sig, I was at work yesterday and the sig kept on appearing, it is actually a nice sig, but it would be great if you could take it off.

Hey everyone!
I won the RotD auction and I'd like to thank you all for helping me realize how "partially retarded" I am! Perhaps by spending more time reading your rantings I may some day rise to your level of intelligence.

Let me start off by saying that I had planned on buying the cart for some time but hadn't had the money until recently, which just happened to coincide with the final auction. I was GOING to buy it directly from the Neo Store, but unfortunately I was too late. I must be a real idiot for not checking this page every hour of every day for RotD sales updates!

Also, I'm a busy guy and had no idea that it was still available at NCS. Oops. I thought they only had the JPN versions. If you're so pissed at me for having to pay more than regualr price, perhaps Shawn would be kind enough to cut me a discount? wink Would that make you feel better?

Not that it matters, but I remembered the days of seeing Slug X's not selling at $175 (I believe there were ST2 and some other "overstocked" games noone wanted as well). Thanks for taking the time to try and make me feel like a jerk, I love the Neo Community.

Congratulation of getting the game that you have been longing for. You must be a hardcore Neo Geo gamer. For the love of it, you are willing to shell out so much money. Two thumbs up for you. Only with enthusiatic gamers like you, the Neo Geo can live on.

You should not take the ranting seriously. You know the members by now....they are just getting too zealously at the Neo Geo market. Enjoy your game.

:) :) :) :)

I am stupid? Perhaps you didn't read the part about me not knowing about NCS...besides: does the NCS copy come with shirt and poster?

Would I still be stupid if a member posted that they were selling one for $250? What difference does it make if I didn't know about it at the time of purchase?

Bottom line: I would've bought it earlier if I had the money at the time. It may have cost me a bit more, but at least I have it now.
- Kyle
p.s. I think my proxy bid was about $425, exactly $100 higher than retail. Why pay more? I missed getting a US MotW on release because SNK USA told me (and I quote) "Call back on release day to order it". They were sold out on release, and to this day I've never owned a copy. Should've had it for $265, but briefly after release you couldn't get a copy for under $600. It's still not easy to get a US copy for a decent price...AND they're all USED. Why not grab a RotD while I still can? I know I won't be getting MotW anytime soon. frown

Don't worry about it. No one here knows if NCSX has the English version in stock. Their sale page lets you order it, but I have ahd orders cancelled before.

If you don't like the amount you spent, you can always sell it in Japan for $450...

Just cut it out, what with slagging off Kyle and all. The same could be said of everybody else on this forum since you probably ALL bought games at too steep a price at some point in your life. So just let Kyle be and let the man enjoy a game that he wanted to buy for some time. Maybe you're just jealous that your mommies didn't give you enough money this month to buy it or maybe your welfare checks didn't come through in time!
Kyle will probably laughing his ass off when somebody from this forum pays $600 for rotD in two years time.

I recently received the MVS version of Rage of the Dragons, and love it so far. The feel is somewhat unique, definitely different from KOF and FF.

Rage is growing on me, and now I am definitely looking forward to Matrimelee.

Some think the game sucks. I guess I just like the unique nature of the gameplay mechanics.

Hey Driftking...If you would've read my post above you would see that it doesn't matter how cheap the game is elsewhere if the buyer doesn't know about it. If I were selling my copy for $200 would that make anyone who bought unknowingly from Shawn or NCS an idiot?

It was also explained that once the first bid was placed, the BIN disappears, and I was not the first bidder.

Interesting how quickly people are willing to critisize others...hope that made you feel better about yourself.
