I have thought very hard about releasing the site and let everyone know about it, but since there're so many people (newbies and others alike) not familiar with fake or authentic items, as well as what games are available for MVS, CD, AES, etc, please visit my site's 40 intro posts
http://messages.clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/snkneogeoresoursecenter/bbs?action=l&tid=s nkneogeoresoursecenter&sid=1600180802&mid=1

Yes, I put this up Jan 1, 2001 and all the info was provided after the release of KOF 2000 home cart, so the only changes are instead of 133 MVS titles, there're 136 now (Nightmare in the Dark, V-Liner, and Sengoku 3), also read the posts concernign how to distinguish real and fake carts, it's important and I've not seen a site discussing it.

wow Vince,great work.
I missed it first than you posted the link.

Few remarks:
do you really believe that ultimate 11 and kizuna are not authentic SNK since they miss the bar code??
What about Real bout 1 US version then? It's 1996 game.

And king of the monster has blue stripe?
It's dog tag only version.

The fact is,vince, that Ultimate 11 and kizuna are euro carts and that's why are so rare.
Anyway they are totally legit.
As for the rarity, japanese carts are not a big problem:
Quiz chibi is very very rare now..NOW.
But in the future some copies of it will show up,maybe few and the price will be still very hight..BUT the point is that there will be the chance to buy it.

Why? Because JP people TAKE GREAT care about their jp home carts.

If we move to US or Euro market...well there is a very scaring situation.
US and Euro gamers take very less care of their carts than JP gamers and there are NOT shop like Medialand or traders in USA or worse in Europe.

I mean: you can go to Medialand a nd find a good selection of home carts-often MINT home carts.
That's not possible with US or Euro carts..try to ask NCS..they have only new titles.
Only chances are Neo-geo.com or in Europe some guy who trades in US carts..but at last jp carts are really easier to find.

Mtal slug..it's a matter of money to buy it.
Twinkle Star and quiz chibi are ,actually, rare and hard to find but not hopeless.

To find a MINT Real Bout 2 US I worked very hard..meanwhile I came across 8 copies-MINT- of real Bout 2 jp.

Not always the case,of course, infact some jp release are more rare than US release:
that's the case of Viewpoint,Gan Gan,Ninja Commando...just to name some.

Yes, King of Monsters has blue strip, check Game Source's image for it
http://www.atarihq.de/show.php3?snk+SNK_Neo_Geo_Preisliste+on

click under King of Monsters, I have a English copy myself. Yes, U11 and Kizuna were 2 games in question at that time, but I think the rest are pretty accurate.

BTW, I have seen an English version of Top Hunter, check this out, it doesn't have the dog tag, nor the Neo-Geo logo, no strips on the front, the Top Hunter logo goes through out the side panel with the meg size at bottom, the front looks like the layout of Jp version except it's in English and doesn't have the round NG logo. I saw one copy of this at Game Express, NY in 1996, I held off and decided to get it a month later by mail, damm, I got the regular US one, someone snatched it shortly after I saw ut.

Yeah,Vince..BUT King of the monster has blue stripe on the front of the insert...it's a DOG TAG version anyway.
I own it also,..when I talk about blue stripe I mean blue stripe on the insert where there is the neogeo logo, id est I mean a blue stripe EURO version-no dogtag like it goes for MS 2 ,Aero Fighters 2 ,MS 1...

I couldn't find the thread, howver v-liner is a slot machine cart. This was made fro azure's gambling operations. The only reason it's identified with the neogeo is the hardware it uses. Namely the mvs system.

Let's communicate a bit further, yes, when I say the color of strip, it's the front, the side panel can be either dog tag or Neo-Geo logo.

Vince,
just to be specific about the point.

When a game has really blue or red stripe ,it has them on the spine and on the cart's sticker.
The cart of King of the monster has no stripe.

I really would love to find a real euro blue stripe version of my fav monsters wrestling game...

Damn I know You've got to be kidding. I had 2 copies of that version and I just gave one away to a friend who had a Neo with only 2 games. Sometimes I wonder how such titles go into Rare mode like that.
