Is the MVS price guide accurate

Not in my opinion..it's a good baseline granted, but comparing the prices to current going rates on eBay there is quite a disparity.

Although the arguement could be made that the MVS price guide is indicitive of COMPLETE MVS sets (box, flyers, marquee, dip switch settings). The problem of course is that almost no one ever has complete MVS sets..they are in my opinion rarer than AES carts...arcade operators almost never kept the extra bits.


Edit...just noticed that Shawn updated the prices recently...it is much more in line with current going rates...I retract my first paragragh. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I personally don't pay much attention to it.

If you see game X for X dollars and you think the game is worth X dollars buy it. Who cares if so and so paid less or more for it. - IMHO

The MVS market changes so fast, I only use the price guides within 2-3 weeks of updates. It's not the guides fault, it's the large fluxuations in the selling market.
