well don't have to be exact though, but a very close estimate will do.

Very difficult to tell since SNK is now defunct and never revealed production numbers...

I'm afraid price of game like Metal Slug will drop dramatically if production number reveals....

I will never forget the day I had MS1 JPN on my hands for 200USD... <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" /> (I didn't have the Neo yet).
Anyway, I thought that SNK made the same number of cartriges of every game. Does anybody know it for sure? <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

Don't think so. Just think at the best Neo year ever: 1996. Why almost all the carts released that year are very rare and expansive? Simply 'cause, in that year, SNK had financial troubles (they always had, but they had much more that year) due to people buying PS and other "commercial" systems surely lesser expensive than the Neo. So they made lesser copies (just think about Shawn not being able to sell all the copies of MS3 AES even if it's a great title and there only are 500 copies worldwide)...

According to Vince Yang, only 50 copies of Metal Slug US exist (my source: dolphinlord yahoo club post #4719, his source: I have no idea)
