Hey:

First off, I am new and would like to say hello to everyone. Anyone into MMA/NHB?

I got my first Neo Geo console the other day after wanting it for years, a U.S. Neo Geo CD. It is used and so I don't have the system manual or anything, and I would like to have a couple questions answered, please:

1. I have a few import games to go with it, and they all play with no difficulty. Has my NGCD been "modded" or are all Neo Geo consoles free of territorial lockout?

2. About memory--is there an internal memory card inside the NGCD, or does it work like the Saturn and have a battery that will eventually die? Just how much memory can I store in the internal memory?

Don't remember about whether it's a battery or not (sold my NeoCD and CDZ a while ago), but I can tell you that the system itself has no territorial lock outs. Pretty much just like the cart system. The games play as US/Jp/Euro depending on the deck. To mod the thing, it's a simple matter of changing the jumpers. There's a link on doing it somewhere in here. Anyone?

I follow the MMA scene pretty much. However I don´t grapple. just Muay Thai (3 years) Did you hear Sak is an alcoholic? LOL can´t believe it! He rules anyway. I hope he beats Vanderlei one of these days.

I own a CDZ but I don´t know the exact memory capacity, I don´t think it´s battery-run.

I love Mixed Martial Arts!
If I'm not playing video games, I'm training or watching MMA tapes.
I have a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and train in striking as well. My training partners compete regularly in the Universal Combat Challenge (UCC) and The International Fighting Championship (IFC).
Oh! Kazushi Sakuraba rules! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Yeah I'm into MMA as well. I follow Pride, UFC, King of the Cage etc.

I also train in Jiu-Jitsu although it's not BJJ. (My system is a modified Japanese one mixed w/ karate and boxing for self defense on the streets here in the U.S.)

Hey Tony you know people who are in the IFC? This guy I'm friendly w/ in school named Kareem is in that. Tall dark brazillian guy. Know him? I think he's won a couple of fights and may have a belt.

I am not really sure who Kareem is. Do you remember what weight class he is in?

SakurabaStyle, I own a Neo Geo CD too and I know that the internal memory for saving games size is 32Kbytes. In the manual says that it has a little battery inside but it is rechargeable (Sega Saturn's one is not), so if you use your console regularly you won't lose your data.
