So many times my friends have asked me what game systems i have got....so i tell them a Neo Geo and they always look confused,saying whats that....

So I try to explain that its the best game system in the world and one of the most powerful systems ever invented..they think i am lying so i say to them its an arcade machine and i usually say to them about you know streetfighter 2 on the snes.well that game was 16 mega while some neo geo games are 40 times as powerful and i mention loads of games incase they might have heard off,

very rarely have they heard of kof or shodown, the game they usually respond to is art of fighting but most of the time they must think im talking shit and that the system must be shit

I really wish SNK had done more to promote the system and it got the recognision it deserves.

Do you ever feel frustration going through your veins trying to explain to people how great the Neo Geo really is ?

The funny thing is many people ask if it is a new system or even the PS2 or XBOX

Most of my friends have heard of it, but they dont understand why i paid the money for it

Its a bit confusing when they come round they slag it off, calling it a Megadrive (Genesis) but when its time for a Kizuna or Turf masters tournament they cant get enough of it.

I've noticed that my little cousins are around alot more often since my Cab was put in the spare room

I believe it SNK got there act together at the start it would have been more popular and we wouldnt have this problem today

i.e. Metal Slug AES for £2200

I love it if they ask me, what kind of console it is...Most of them have heard of the Neo-Geo before. Some of them had play it in Arcade, but the most are just amazed, when they see what is it!!! HEHE!!! When they´ve played it, i always won over another soul. THEY ALL LOVE iT!!! That´s the reason why 5 of my BEST-FRiENDS still have a Neo-Geo AES!!! <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

BTW they´ve all respected the Neo-Geo.
iT STiLL RULES OVER CONSOLES LiKE "SHiT/X-BOX" AND CO... :D

I have tried to be enthusiastic in telling others about NEO GEO, but no one I know in person knows what it is or how special it is in the video game world! Nowadays I don't even mention my video game hobby to hardly anyone!

Last time I shopped with Shawn, it was shipped USPS Priority and the mailman recognized the Neo-Geo.com logo and actually knew what it was!

I usually just ask them:

"Ever heard of Samurai Shodown/Bust-a-Move/KOF?"

That usually covers everybody.

The Neo Geo is the Corvette of video games: Overpowered (at the time), expensive to buy, expensive to maintain (Buying new games), but its one hell of an impressive mother.

A lot of times people think I'm talking about a new system. It's kind of funny, I'll say no, it came out over 10 years ago. They ask why you still have it then. Then you get to give them the wonderful response of other than badaaaaaassss gameplay, it's worth more than any new system. Hell, for the price of a new neo game, you could buy an xbox. Of course who would want to buy a xbox.
