the_move, regardless of what emails were sent, Kyokugen Star should refund the money that Bahamut paid for a fake MS1 cart. There are no mitigating circumstances at all; there is NO EXCUSE for selling a fake MS1 cart AS A REAL ONE, then KEEPING the money and REFUSING to refund it. No offense, but I am sure KS would have done if Bahamut would not have reacted so impudent soooo fast.

Ralph, knows that even when refunding this money - would have been earlier or now or later - would not do anything about his reputation, coz it is messed up by a little "smartie", who raised his big mouth a bit to early. Bahamut maybe thought with that action he could put some additional pressure to Ralph, but he made it worse!

Bahamut ruined KS name, and therefore he decided to keep his money. I think this is called "an Eye for an Eye"! Be honest if Bahamut would not have posted this shit so soon and Ralph would have refunded the money after a "serious" request, no one would have ever said a word.

I am not saying Ralph is right in doing this, but I am saying that Bahamut is not pretty innocent in this situation. As I said, "both sides of the story" and this IS pretty IMPORTANT.

To be honest, if I would have been insulted and denounced by a whippersnapper - make it 1600 bucks or a million or 20 cents - I would refuse to refund, too!

Both are victims, Bahamut in case of the money, and KS in case of his reputation! I am pretty sure KS would have refunded if that little whiner would not have brought this up into the forums that fast!

the_move--you keep blubbering about Kyokugen Star and his "reputaion". The fact is that KS sold a FAKE cart to Bahamut. THAT'S what completely destroys his reputaion NOT Bahamut! He was angry at this whole situation and he brought the matter to his peers for help and guidance. He has every right to be angry and to say whatever he chooses about KS. You make is sound like Bahamut has to be nice to KS and beg for his money back. KS started his auction with the intent to scam somebody, now on the other hand if he really didn't know the cart was a fake, then as a good member of the NEO community he should be more then happy to give back the money. Kyokugen Star was never going to refund the money

Lets have a laugh - lets list a bootleg and a start bidding price of $999, wait until the auction finishes then refund the money to the winning bidder because its fake.

But if he posts a topic (well done Bahamut for that thread personally i wouldn't have been quite elequant in my choice of words)- which didn't ruin KS name, he did that himself quite well

Thing is I feel he does indeed get the point. He just doesn't care. I guess you could say he's trying to find a dimplomatic way to deal with this but his...refusal to see the point that KS said he wasn't going to refund the money on these forums was a serious no no.

I have to agree with nick_th_fury's original statement. All he had to do was say in his original email.

'Ok. My Fault. I'll fix it'

and this whole mess would have been resolved.

Considering KS treated his email with an unassured promise of getting his money back on a conversion of a game which by all intents and purposes wasn't explained as an original, then by all means I would be royally pissed too.

I've kept my nose clean of this mess seeing as I was mostly away but, after finally reading and re-reading what was said, I feel that even if KS returned the money, his rep will still be tattered by was outright was an honest mistake.

It's a shame things went this far but when you're dealing with something that is worth quite a bit of $$$$, then you's better be sure to make good by your sale seeing as nobody wants to shell out a shitload of money for fake shit.

That kinda of bullshit should only stay on NGF's doorstep and not be allowed to spread out seeing as this almost happened before and thankfully a lot of old timers in the scene cut that shit off by the balls. <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />
