Where's the love for MS4?

I don't get it. While you are begging for an AES release, tons of you are picking all MS4 screenshots apart and talking about how they're being lazy and how it'll suck because it's not made by SNK yaddayaddayyadda... IMO, this game looks great. It has new characters, some new slugs, better graphics, and looks like it plays like a dream. Is it just me, or do you guys just hate the fact that SNK is not producing some the next titles in their major franchises? It may not be made by them, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad. It looks to me like it will be the best in the series. So at least give it a freakin' chance... It could be what's gonna keep the Neo Geo and maybe even SNK alive in the next few years.

Okay let me try to break this down here. The people who like the new slug are hoping for an AES release so they can play it and have fun with it. The people (like me) who think this game will be a huge flop, want an AES release just so they can see their favorite console prosper and do well. You see, we would all want to see a home release purely because if we do that means Neo Geo is thriving and the company’s got money to produce and develop. And I speak for myself when I say, “I miss SNK producing games unfortunately they’re gone, and I don’t think they’re coming back.”

I'm just afraid of MS4 being an add-on of MS3. SNK was a kind of seal for quality of the games. Now that small companies develop on neo, we're not sure (it doesn't means that they develop bad games).

Yep, true dat. But it doesn't mean that, only because it's another Slug, it's automagically touched by the hand of the god of video games, like some over-enthusiastic MS4 fans seem to think.

to me, ms4 looks pretty innovative. on the other hand, the games that were made by snk seemed VERY similar to the original game by nazca.

Well Fran that may be true, but still I don’t think KOF 2001 even looks all that SNK-ish. I don’t know maybe I’m just a little scared to see the results; I’ll keep my mouth shut until I see the goods.

Fran is right, kof2001 was made by brezzasoft, in a recent interview with playmore employees on mmcafe.com, they said they got brezza to develop kof 2001 because they were the ones with the most knowledge about the neo geo.
