Radiant Silvergun VS Metal Slug 3

Not sure if this has been done before but which title is better and why?

How can you compare two different games?

I agree with bri, I think the two games are too different to really compare at all.

I'll compare them simply on which one I like better overall...

MS3 is better.

Why?

Well, it's a 2D masterpiece made with such a loving attention to detail that it makes your eyes hurt. This game is also the current high-water mark for 2D side scrollers.

Radiant Silvergun IS really good, but there are other Saturn shooters that I think are even better. RS is good because of the innovative gameplay and somewhat revolutionary overall presentation.

I make this judgement based on this tried and true question: "If you had both and had to give one up, which one would it be?"

I agree that comparing the games to each other is impossible because they are too different.

Radiant Silvergun is a River Raid style (meaning, you're always going up) shooting game and Metal Slug 3 is a Contra style action platformer.

As far as which is better...I've personally only played Radiant Silvergun (have it on Sega Saturn) so I'm not really qualified to answer that question.

That's gotta be the first time Radiant Silvergun and River Raid have been mentioned in the same sentence.

I sold my minty fresh Radiant Silvergun to support my Neo*Geo gaming needs last month. I do not intend to sell Metal Slug 3. Need I say more?
