The quicktime movies of the game look like pure shit. I'm hoping it's because the quicktime compression is crap.... I'm hoping.

I've had the Japanese version of Lastblade 2 for my Dreamcast for several months. It's close to arcade perfect as far as I can tell. There is a bit of load time (1o seconds) between some game screens.

I too have had the Japanese version of LB2 for DC for a few months, and it is EXCELLENT!! I actually did an A/B comparison of LB2 on DC (s-video) with the Neo LB2 home cart version (also s-video). The DC version had better image quality . . . and the animation is damn near perfect compared to the Neo original. The only thing I'd recommend is having the Innovation Arcade Stick instead of the stock DC controller. Overall, a fantastic port that we are all very lucky to have gotten . . . and its coming to the U.S. too, thanks again to Agetec!!

i agree. Last Blade 2 for DC is great. It was a cheaper alternative for me to buy it on import for DC then buying the expensive neo geo version.

Yeah it's not the hottest stuff for Quicktime but, it's expected sometimes. At least the guy who wrote this article is worth more than that. I wonder if any of you can guess who Anthony Chau used to be.

Last Blade 2 on DC did recieve some bad press and reviews, alot of it due to Guilty Gear X and the comparisons made between the two games. Reviewers were unreasonable, they simply looked at the graphics(which I think are great, love the character design) and compared them with Guilty Gear X or Streetfighter 3(both of which are straight arcade ports as is LB2, put programmed on systems more powerful than MVS). Because there was less animation frames and lower resolutions, its considered an inferior game. What about how it plays? Last Blade 2 is excellent and must have purchase.

Yeap you got it. That guy is nobody else expect one of Gamefan's ole respect writers other than the mighty pastry guy, Dangohead.
It's good that he still writes somewhere. I miss his Weekend Warrior rants as quite a few people do these days. I hope to see him try to do something along those lines seeing as one of my favorite rants was titled. 'My Sister The Scrub'. *heh* Either way I'm glad someone besides me knew what his real name was.

Oh and yes he's very much spanking Virtual On 4:Force. He also got to play Planet Harrier which my envy light was totally green that day. Either way I would keep checking on his work at IGN/Dreamcast because other than him and 2 others, I don't like that site much. Latahs...

Literally took the words right out of my mouth. My DC collection is currently complete, but if the US LB2, G:MOTW, and CvsS2 come out, it will be perfect Even though I have MotW for Neo Geo home cart and LB1 and 2 on its way, I am all for Neo Geo titles on the DC, not a better console for it anywhere (except maybe the Saturn).
