I think people do it on purpose.
He just tries to put common words like "Nintendo" and "Neo Geo" so that when people do search on ebay, they'll easily find his auction.

Maybe he only saw the GameBoy incarnation of the game & though it was by Nintendo? Maybe it's just a case of great stupidity.

it's one of those total idiots who think "Nintendo" is the correct word for 'videogame'.. he'd call a NGPC a SNK Gameboy and shoes are all 'Nikes' for him, I bet.
