I am tired of people bashing NEO Double Dragon

Reasons it sucked:

God awful character design
Newbie-oriented play mechanics
God awful character design
Based off an equally sucky movie
God awful character design

And, ahhhhhhh, oh yeah the characters sucked too. It was almost like someone looked at SF/KOF/FF/SS and said "Oh, so that's how you make a fighting game" then went ahead and did so without REALLY knowing how to make a fighting game.

It's definitely an underrated game IMO, possibly the most underrated on the Neo. It might seem to have newbie oriented play mechanics, but it's actually a deeper game if you give it a chance. The combo system is really very good if you learn it. Newbie or not though, it's still fun.

Good features;
Double jumping
Decent combo system
at least 2 special and 2 supers for each character (common I know)
Mid-air blocking
Mid-air throws
Big characters
Non-pixelated looking graphics
Wide range and fast zooming effects
