Sengoku 3 or Sengoku 2001? questions....

Hey all,

I have a quick Sengoku 3 question. I bought a new in the box Sengoku 3 cart on the MVS label and all it say sengoku 3, but upon boot up it comes up Sengoku 2001. I know there are 2 names for the game, but still on USA or other country settings it always comes up sengoku 2001? The text that is in Japanese also still comes up in Japanese with a US bios motherboard. Another strange thing with this cart is it resets to the green bios after every demo loop has anyone seen that happen before? The cart is 100% authentic and is brand new.

Any ideas?

Odd, no I have never seen that. I have played it on MVS and AES, I have never seen anything go back to the Green intialize screen... maybe there is a loose connection somewhere? Did you try cleaning the cart real good? Does it ever show the Gigapower Logo? It should appear after the first run through of demos (it will not appear on the first bootup).

I had the same problem with my modded AES Home unit. I set it to English in the BIOS (I have a Japanese system) and it still turned up Japanese. I quickly restarted the system and went into the BIOS. It still said US in there even after hitting reset and I then cycled through all the country codes till I hit US again. This time when the game started it was displayed in English. I have no clue why this is. This worked for me and maybe it would work on your MVS but I don't know for sure.

Kewl I will give it a try. Still it is so strange that I change it to US and its still Sengoku 2001? hmmmm I will take a look at it again and cyle through them. thanks

a similar thing happens with my Samurai shodown 3 AES cart. My system boots up Europe, but when I change it to Jap (before the game loads) it will not change to the jap setting and I am stuck with a full english game with white blood. While on the other hand all other games will switch to the defult jap setting.
